Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities

Why wouldnt bitcoin being used for ilegal activities when it offer an almost 100% anonymous transactions? Besides that the fiat has always been used for such transaction something bitcoin can handle the same way as fiat, liking it or not we always have two sides of each currencie.

Bitcoin transactions are not 100% anonymous.

Anyways, as long as any assets have worth it will be used regularly in any kind of activities whether it's legal or not.

Bitcoin has been used in illegal activities ever since.  And this stuff have a very bad effect in Bitcoins. It gives doubt and make people unfortable using bitcoin.  This is also one of the main reason why people  have second thought in investing or adopting bitcoin to their stores.  People who are unaware what bitcoin is are afraid to be in relation with illegal activities once they use Bitcoin.

yes that is a fact. there is no fault of bitcoin to be used for ill legal activities.  i think there are all kid of persons present in the society. and every one has their own intention. some people are using it for good while other are using if for ill legal activities.

ANY currency is used by some for illegal activities. It doesn't matter if it's the USD, the EUR, the AUD, or BTC. That has nothing to do with what people are doing with money. However, BTC is harder to track so yes, a lot of people are using it to buy & do illegal stuff.

Anything called currency can be used for both legal and illegal transactions. Even before the introduction of bitcoins, money laundering and drug peddling was existing. So the invention of bitcoins has just come in to enhance the trade. Therefore you cannot blame Bitcoin for these kind of actions.

Totally agree, because it is already there since before the bitcoin appears. Bitcoin appear has a purpose for our difficulty in doing deals in the internet, because there are some people who don't have credit cards because each of them registering denied Bank or they do not want to use a credit card because of the cost given is too large

Bitcoin really isn't to be blamed for such illegal activities done with it. Rather, it's the sellers and the buyers, or basically every single person involved in that certain transaction is to be blamed. It's not like bitcoin was purposely made for it but it was those people who had the thought of using bitcoins to do their crimes.

yes i am also agree with you. and i think bitcoin is not responsible for these illegal activities.  i think illegal activities may be in progress in all types of currencies. so it is not such a big news.

I don't know if some of Drug Lords uses bitcoin for there illegal translation. In my country gambling is illegal and so that some people not using bitcoin only for gambling purposes, so yes it is used for illegal activities.

Yeah, I too went through such websites which were accepting bitcoin for such killing and illegal purposes. It's been found high during the days when only people who involve in illegal activities were aware about bitcoin. Now most users were giving priority as an earning and investment.

i know there still exist an illegal practice involving bitcoin ,

Every country has its law on gambling. Very few countries have restrictions on gambling, and those countries bitcoin usage in gambling is stated as illegal use. Also now illegal usage of bitcoin have reduced much due to the transitory bitcoin got as a highly potential investment.

I see more and more acrticles of bitcoin being used for illegal activities
will this hurt bitcoin in the long run , will governments ban this just like they started to do wih paying in cash for some services

Of course it will, especially for those bad guys here online, IMO bitcoin is there payment method for there every transactions. And I dont think government will ban bitcoin in there respective country because of these incidents, but maybe 40% they will do if they are concern to these doings.
