Are you guys sure it wouldn't be a good idea to set up an asset on the NXT AE.

1 Iota = 1 (whatever you wish to call it)

Then, people can have you send them their asset (that represents real Iota), and once you do that, their Iotas go to the " general asset address".

Then, people can trade Iotas freely right away.

Once launch comes, anyone who sends in 1 asset, gets 1 actual Iota sent to them out of the General Asset Address.

Something like what NEM did, if you're familiar.

I was just thinking it would further spread out distribution because some who wouldn't sell all their Iotas out of the Genesis Address, could just sell a portion instead.

I know there was some concern about setting up a market early, but now that is happening anyway, so I just figured I'd bring it up, so we could get the distribution spread further and let real trading begin.

Also, this would stop someone from creating an Iota asset that doesn't intend to deliver, because everyone would use the official one.

Maybe it would be too much work? Maybe CFB could automate it? I have no idea.

I just think at this point in time, it would benefit Iota if it wouldn't be too much of a distraction to CFB.

It's possible to use multisig feature of Iota to create a federated control over iotas. Issue an asset and set such the condition that if asset units are sent to the genesis then the controllers will transfer the corresponding number of iotas from their multiaddress to the address specified in MESSAGE field of that Nxt transaction.

EDIT: I can help to merge several addresses into a multiaddress and issue the asset (together with sending initial asset units in proportion to iotas put into the multiaddress).

My question would be, wouldn't the fact that people buying Nxt to purchase the assets, then cancel out the downward pressure that would occur when sellers sold their Nxt for BTC?

Also, wouldn't this help Nxt. I was under the impression that you guys are looking for it to be used in real life?

Or am I completely missing your point?

Alice, Bob and Charlie put 10'000 iotas into this. They generate a multiaddress that allows to transfer iotas if 2 of 3 agree on that. I change genesis records to reflect the change. I issue an asset on Nxt AE with 30'000 units and send 10'000 units to each of them. They sell the units at any price they wish on AE. If any owner (including those who bought from Alice/Bob/Charlie) sends units to the void (destroys them) and attaches a message with Iota address then two of Alice/Bob/Charlie send the same number of iotas from the the multiaddress to that Iota address.
