i wouldnt be making fun of him, he did the first transaction so he deserves some credit for the success of bitcoin, also i think he is still rich.. if he spent 10,000 btcs for one pizza he surely had like 50,000 at that point, even if he now has only 1,000 he owns half a million dollars..

Well his easy to find public account shows that alot of money moves with this man.

https://blockchain.info/address/157fRrqAKrDyGHr1Bx3yDxeMv8Rh45aUet

So its not hard to believe he has alot saved up somewhere.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Don't forget to order a pizza tomorrow!
But this thread already completed 4 years on 18 May now why are you going to give order tomorrow

He started thread on 18th but he did the deal on 22th.
That's why tomorrow is the "Bitcoin Pizza Day"

Grin

On days like these I think about future and past.

jan 2009: genesis block
may 2010: 10k BTC pizza
july 2010: Bitcoin trading on Mt.Gox
2011: GPU mining
start of 2012: bitpay
end of 2012: BFL
2013: breakthrough of ASICs, hashrate goes crazy
april 2013: global awareness due to cyprus crisis
november 2013: BTC = 1000 USD
april 2012: even when BTC almost 'bans' bitcoin, it stays relatively strong

It all happened so fast and very greatful I am in this community since the end of 2012.

I am very eager to knwo what will happen next
We will all be part of a great crypticurrency future, that's for sure!

and last but not least, thanks, thanks Laszlo for creating this topic. You showed the world that bitcoins can be used and should be used as money. Someone in the UK purchased a pizza for you and you payed him in seconds without transaction costs! Unbelievable Cheesy

Will be funny to revist this thread when that payment becomes $100m worth just for 2 pizzas.

Really hope this guy still has a fair few bitcoins left, because if not I'd be feeling quite shitty right now lol

I'll pay 10,000 bitcoins for a couple of pizzas.. like maybe 2 large ones so I have some left over for the next day.  I like having left over pizza to nibble on later.  You can make the pizza yourself and bring it to my house or order it for me from a delivery place, but what I'm aiming for is getting food delivered in exchange for bitcoins where I don't have to order or prepare it myself, kind of like ordering a 'breakfast platter' at a hotel or something, they just bring you something to eat and you're happy!

I like things like onions, peppers, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, pepperoni, etc.. just standard stuff no weird fish topping or anything like that.  I also like regular cheese pizzas which may be cheaper to prepare or otherwise acquire.

If you're interested please let me know and we can work out a deal.

Thanks,
Laszlo

The pizza is so expensive. 10000 bitcoins = $5,000,000 now.

I second this, now if only there was some quick and easy way to collect donation to help towards this cause.
