Keep in mind that sunerok is a dev working on a coin that is doing very damn well for itself right now with strong community backing. So yes serious developers are taking an interest in XCT. If they can keep up the same level of transparency and involvement with the community, I can see this becoming very successful.

Let me get this straight. The premise of this coin is that in the event of a Core/Classic split in Bitcoin, either Core or Classic devs would move over to C-Bit development because this coin is a clone of Bitcoin?
This is just a minor side benefit of C-bit, not a major point. If Bitcoin Classic were to do a hostile takeover of Bitcoin Core, and Bitcoin Core were to die as a fork, and some of the developers and members of the community were not too particularly happy about the Classic takeover, they could move over to C-bit and continue to work on Core without any problem. C-bit IS Bitcoin Core, without any of the problems, issues, or baggage currently surrounding Bitcoin Core. However, again, it is just a side note, not a major issue of C-bit. The major point of C-bit is to come up along side of Bitcoin Core and be a smaller denomination coin. If Bitcoin is the $ 100 bill, then C-bit can be the $ 10 bill. C-bit is already building the Merchant Suite for C-bit to be able to trade as a retail coin, in addition to an exchange or currency coin. Further down the road, C-bit is working on the idea of joining itself to Bitcoin in a symbiosis relationship like a DNA strand. We think it is possible to create a much faster network with a combined Bitcoin / C-bit structure. So, C-bit is an interesting idea, and we'll see where it goes. William Martens Founder C-bit Seems like a very naive idea. The Wright brothers had a very naive idea too, it was called "flying".

Now that you got me going......
What a silly idea.
Bill gates : actually thought that people would use that silly software to use that silly computer in their house for something.
Steve Jobs : actually thought that people would buy his silly sounding Apple machine to use in their house to do some calculating with. What a silly idea.
Oh, and the silly Space X thing. Actually thought the government would risk sending their equipment into space on a private rocket. What a bunch of drugs he was on.
Then there is the electric car guy. Actually thought he could build an entire car company from scratch and compete with GM and Ford. Now that took guts. Can't be done. Will absolutely fail. Watch him and count the days.
Of course don't even think about Uber, you can't compete with taxis. That's regulated and protected by the government and the unions. They won't allow and of course the public would never get in a strangers' car. OPPS. Wrong. It worked. How can that be ?
Then, of course, there's Bitcoin. Who in there right mind would buy an anonymous coin over the internet, that has nothing backing it except trust ? No gold, silver, or anything but computer bits. Can't work. Never will. OPPS. It worked.
So, when you say C-bit can't work, watch out. When you least expect it, it will sneak up on you and bite you in the ass.

I was interested in this coin but as soon as the dev started talking about "bitcoin devs" (yeah right) being involved and all the time and effort and money to just do a clone, I started handling it with skepticism. It was not necessary for the dev to say those things because it placed a "far fetched" tag on the coin and caused people to doubt what he says.

I understand it is discouraging to see people unloading cheap XCT in cryptopia, however there is no need to get upset by this. Obviously there were some desperate people that were merely trying to make a quick buck off of their mining efforts. I believe this community will continue to grow and Mr. Martens will continue to use his resources to ensure C-bit is a successful coin. I hope the current community can see this and will continue to support Mr. Martens endeavor.

you do realize there are over 300 bitcoin developers right? i mean, i'm a developer, and i'm interested. i think there's room for a coin like this. just look how many coins are built from old versions of bitcoin/ppc that are complete shit. this one is built from .12, which is the newest release.

Obviously you've never developed a coin. I can tell that just by your comments. I suggest you go out a build a clone of Bitcoin ( it's so easy ), then develop all the wallets. Remember to actually clone Bitcoin 0.12.0 and change the basic parameters. Then develop the website and all the connections it needs, then the network and the pools worldwide. Spend all the time it requires. When you've done that, and added up all the time and the costs; then, you can come back to us, be on a professional par with us; and, then the you can share with our team your valued opinion. For the moment there is only pools, one exchange and the interest of the community in this coin. Why don't we let C-bit staff do their work and release what they promised instead of taking debates here. It's a cryptocurrency,if someone doubt or afraid of it,he can sell his coins at a profitable price and move on,those who trust, can hold their coins or speculate and accumulate. If this C-bit will fail,we can only blame ourselves.cryptoworld is full of coins and everyone can choose the coin that fit his perspectives and his intellectual or financial level. At least all these dev's are contributing to the growth of the crypto technology in many ways;So let's let them do their work and watch the progress Sorry for my bad English

Based upon reactions from Bitcoin trollers, and our developers relations within the Bitcoin community, they will remain Ghosts. Judge C-bit upon the source code, what we add to the coin, our development as a coin, and our actions; not on any personalities. This is about the coin, and it will never be about us. If you must tie C-bit to personalities, then this is not the coin for you. After next week, the Bitcoin trollers, who hate competition, will explode on this board in an attempt to destroy C-bit. Get ready, it's coming. William Martens Founder C-bit The people on the website were coders who contributed code to C-Bit and working in the Bitcoin space? ********* Yes to code ********* Also, I need to clarify my last statement above a little. Any Developers interested in helping C-bit are more than welcome to help. The more brains we have, the better. Just PM me with a return e-mail address and I'll have the head developer contact you. We are not trying to hide. Come join us with your talents. The point I was trying to make was that we will not be publicly broadcasting our developers names or their forum names or any other details. They will remain anonymous and in the background forever. They will not be appearing at conventions or roundtables. Based upon the rabid Bitcoin trollers out there, our developers do not need their websites, forum pages, nor their careers turned upside down by the crazies out there; or shunned because of their participation in what might be considered a "taboo" project by some. They just want to help an interesting project and be left alone. In addition, even within the C-bit development group, you can be anonymous. It's the work you do that is important, not who you are. When you PM, just be sure to start with either an anonymous name or your real identity, you choose. If you, as a Developer, want fame and recognition, outside the immediate C-bit group, then C-bit is not for you. Our Developers like the feeling that they can sit right next to Gavin Anderson in his office and listen to him rant about C-bit; then know that Gavin has no idea that at night they're working on C-bit.
