@EK last week in your roadmap, do you have any updates for us?

Whole package arrives as promised on weekend, including a full documentation and in fully operable state.
The roadmap was reorganized a bit, but (from my side) everything went (and goes) as planned.

Fantastic news EK!  Well done!

Can we talk about what happens after the launch for those who donated during the initial XEL offering? These may be low level questions, but I really don't know how this goes. Also, some sort of timeline might be helpful for a PR strategy.

1) MainNet lauches

2) XEL holders logon, create a profile and wallet? (One in the same?)

3) XEL holders go through the redeem process. XEL is now in their wallet

4) At this point, XEL should have a BTC/dollar figure amount, since other users need to be able to buy XEL to use the distributed computer.
      i. if an outsider wanted buy XEL, then one of the XEL investors would have to sell, since there is a fixed amount?

5) Users also begin the mining process, adding processing power to the distributed computer network

6) At some point after launching main net, the project decides to be listed on exchanges (the same day? days later? weeks later? months?).

7) Once listed on exchanges, the Elastic/XEL wallet is able to interact with exchanges and XEL could be traded for BTC?

Do XEL miners receive XEL as payment? If so, where does that XEL come from? There is already a fixed amount distributed among initial investors.

There's a few steps that we should do on the testing and PR front before mainNet launches.

We first need to get people testing the system, preferably from outside Elastic.  Ideas?

While that's going on, we need to be populating the website with all the up to date information about the system.  Access to the website and official email address needed.

Then we need to be contacting all the Cryptocurrency mags and other news outlets.  I've started compiling a list.

For people to buy XEL and do some real world trials, we need to get it listed on exchanges.  Process for approaching the exchanges?

We need to create a complete list of all these tasks and others and start dividing them up between us, so that we know we've got all the bases covered and provide the Elastic project with the launch it deserves.

Congratulations to EK and all the devs that have made Elastic possible.  Now we need to showcase their work to the rest of the world.

What are the hardware requirements for the supernodes? Is 300,000 XEL still needed to have an opportunity to mine?

Let me know what you think.  Wink

I think
a) that it is sweet to see that my first "idea" was not so bad after all
and
b) that
Code:
Largest error: 1.94385646144
seems hard to beat
and last but not least
c) that I hope to get the one or another improvement suggestion from you, even after the contest ist over and we have seen this method "in action" in the upcoming 0.9.0 testnet  Wink

Hunterminercrafter:
Largest error: 1.89787520814

L'oracle (PM submission from 07:42:50 PM, someone can verify this in my account if wanted):
Largest error: 1.89720766492

My own one (shame on me)
Largest error: 5.31689202348

VeryNewMember:
Largest error: 5.9709180146

Here, all algorithms in zipped form. Change the first line in tester.py to evaluate a specific submission:
http://www.xup.in/dl,17161517/retarget_algorithms.tar.gz/

Does that seem correct so far?
Unbelieveable, how close the two best submissions were.

If everyone agrees with the result, I would need loracle's BTC address to get rid of my hard earned BTC.  Wink

So EK,the winner "idea" be used in elastic now?

HI EK,

I see elastic test block chain peers in http://elasticexplorer.org/peers/ , there have 0.9.0 testnet version peer,

so u made before contest winner 'idea' algo have build in 0.9.0?

Regards.

4&5 -> pls See the picture here

6. Exchanges decides themself if they would like to add us - i think it wouldn't took much time

7. The Exchanges would use whatever currency pair they would use - maybe only dogecoin Wink - what i mean: The Exchanges aren't our enemys/friends - they just want to earn from the fees traders would pay there and so they would allways search for coins generating much intrest.
