How much would one need to have donated to have the 300k XEL for a masternode?

Approx 1.5 btc at initial ICO last Feb. would put you at around 300k XEL if my math is correct.

That´s about 1 or 2 guys  Grin
and? it should be around 30 btc when we hit exchange. i think this is a lot

Actually I think that 300k xel will be more to the direction of 45-60 btc or even more.
dunno. my calculation is conservative. but you have to consider the current uncertainty in the markets because of ETF approve. I hope we will hit exchange after it

I know it´s annoying but what was total amount of coins (i only found this: Distribution: 5 million XEL (unclear how many of the total this will be)) and how many BTC in ICO?

I've became a father today! Little Michael came to our (crypto driven) world. I don't know why but I felt I need to share this with you all guys! Happy XEL and new life!

I know this is big offtop but I thought it's big news for all of us that new crypto-sick child is aware of the world Smiley.

News from my own perspective:

I'm working on XEL PR website. I hope I'll deliver it soon. It will be not CMS but all source will be on github/bitbucket. So anyone who want to update content will have free will (pull requests). Full open source.

Just short update from me.

I'm 24h on foot without sleep. I'm going to bed. Good night for all XEL freaks.

I'm so glad for you . I wish for you little boy health and hope to live in a better world . Give him all the time you can , you won't believe how fast time passes by .

Total XEL is 100,000,000
Amount is fixed forever.
At the initial ICO, the price was floating, benefitting those who bought earlier.
Approx 1.5 btc purchased 300,000 XEL. BTC at that time were aprox $450.00.

Should i wait with claiming?

Better to wait IMO. This redeeming in a testnet is useless anyway, because the network will be reset when the mainnet launches. And it's possibly not safe to redeem anything on a public node, because you can reveal your private key?

When is mainnet schedule to launch and which exchange is it planned to be listed?

Soon, and none as of yet. Still working on the PR and contacting Exchanges. Of course anyone that wants the project listed on an exchange is more than welcome to submit the request form.

Yes, nothing prevents the public node operator from capturing your passphrase or signed messages to claim your coins. Everyone should consider that.

During ICO total amount of XEL was sold. there will be no inflation!
This total amount was initially 5 million but after voting of token holders it was multiple by 20 and now 100 million.
ICO funding was about 600-700 BTC. Dunno the exact amount and too lazy to search Smiley
Again this number is useless, because we will have a final product at launch in contract to many other ICOs.

Total of 708.66 btc was collected. I agree, considering this project is a final product, it will be just not fair if it costs lower than our competitor Golem with it's 22m$ marketcap.
And speaking honestly I see Elastic at 50m$ marketcap and higher. So one must be crazy to start selling his XELs lower than 0.22$ per XEL (or 0.0002btc at ~1100$/btc), just my thoughts..

These coins have small circle of people. First there will be small exchange, on which will sell those who need to get out of this asset. The rising cost of Bitcoin may adversely affect XEL price.

No matter in the long run, and a good opportunity for those wishing to get it

Strictly speaking it was not an ICO as they were considered donations with no specific responsibilities taken up by the team. In practice yes it was an ICO.
Even so, from what I understand, the funds collected were not used for the project but scammed away by Lannister. So this will be the first ICO scam to actually deliver  Grin

I know well that Elastic devs made this project real for free. And it was not an ICO as most people here thinks because nothing was prommissed, except that those who donated will get their XEL tokens IF Elastic is created. That's one of the reasons why not all XELs were sold, it was a gamble you know, but those who believed will be rewarded. And BTC collected were not scammed, the wallet has multisignature and Lannister has no possibility to get them. Same thing with developers, they can't use collected funds, because they don't have Lannister's signature.

Oh, well it still sucks but I guess it's better than I thought.
I'm sure I saw EK on this thread (long ago) making a comment about Lannister, hoping he was enjoying his vacation on a beach somewhere with all that BTC. Perhaps I misunderstood

Stopped by the Golem thread today and had a few people wanting to know the differences between Elastic and golem / other distributed computing projects. I still dont feel comfortable explaining the differences, even though I have a fair understanding of what XEL is going to offer.  Tried to locate the chart i referenced previously for this info but failed in that effort.

Anyone have that link / info handy?
