https://ozcoin.net/content/ozcoin-widgetI spoke with gotmilk earlier, he developed the widget for us Due to time constraints he is finding it hard to devote the time he would like to the widget. He has offered a possible solution and would be able to help the new person get up to speed To find a realbasic developer from within our community to take over development and keep widget Ozcoin specific anyone up for it? check out Real Software: Real Studio, Best Development Tool for Mac, Windows and Linux http://www.realsoftware.com/realstudio/cheers If interested, I just published my .net version. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=86502.0M

Block times are not guaranteed to be sequential in the blockchain (that's a BTC design)
The time itself does not represent the exqact time it was found - since e.g. with roll-n-time, the miner can increase the time up to some limit to avoid having to get more work from the pool.

Why does the Ozcoin pool hashrate vary so much? Sometimes it's over 1500, sometimes as low as only 300.
Does that mean Ozcoin is hopped a lot?

Many users use Ozco as their backup pool to GPUMax, so when leasing is available thats where all the hashing goes.

lately its been 700Ghash - 1.5Thash right now we are having some comms issues with US server so stats displayed are just the EU server. we are onto it and ecoinpool caches shares for an hour in case of situations like these.

We are catching up on the share count now. It appears there was some connectivity issues between the US and AU servers

Why is GPUMax so popular? Because they pay more than any other pool possibly can.

Why is GPUMax so popular? They pay more than a legitimate pool can. But it's happening less and less. More people on GPUMAX = Leased work is finished faster. And with almost all of the proportional pools dead, there is very little incentive for somebody to pay GPUMAX for hash power anymore for hopping. I'm still struggling to see any business model for GPUMAX beyond short term. There's just no reason to pay such a premium for hash power unless you're stress testing a pool server, since pool hopping at those margins requires very precise timing and a large number of hoppable pools. Well, unless you're trying to pull off a double-spend...

really there has been more than enough discussion of GPUMAX in their threads. eleuthria: the way their leases work you cant "hop", the user doesn't have that much control and leases run one after the other (when they are busy) so its not even possible for a customer to time the start of a lease. A lot of people treat it like a casino - but apart from that I don't think it is long term viable either- some ppl seem to be having fun with it though dlasher: GPUMAX Customers get paid by the pools, so you say customers pay GPUMAX in tainted coins to get clean ones. That would mean that miners leasing shares TO GPUMAX would get paid in "dirty coins", I think we would have heard the indignation by now if they were, there are some pretty big/smart miners on GPUMAX - they wouldnt miss this

This is a low priority transaction. Thank you, guys! Alot! Right in fucking time! What happened with this pool? Woah dude, calm down, take a deep breath, and give us some context. EDIT: nice ninja delete just as I posted.

It is not a pool thing, it is a blockchain thing talk to the people at satoshi dice , tycho (who classes a free txn as having a cost so limits satoshi dice txns) and the bitcoin devs as discussed in this thread Ozcoin is one of the pools putting through the most txn. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=86129.msg963344#msg963344Rage away dude, its nothing to do with this pool, and we aren't rejecting any txn, but there is only so many that fit in a block (and of course we need to win one to include the txn).

Sorry. Satoshi dice should be destroyed with huge nuke, really. It's a disaster. This stupid shit slowing down whole network. Btw I'm still waiting for my confirmation. And guess how much I've lost with this >2h waiting, still going.

Sorry to hear :/ It is a network wide issue and has been discussed in several forum threads. If there was more Ozcoin could do - we would
