Thanks for share...well yes i had so much troubles, i though some GPU is messed up, than extenders, than motherboard...my final configuration(i belive with win10 you can get better all but personally i like 7 more) Win7 64 Crimson 16.11.3 There is no issue with stability now, and you can do 2 thinks, one is to have one gpu directly in PCI 16x or to have it connected with USB resier...others go normaly with molex reiser...just dont use sata molex. I have it for 3 days working without any problem. Most problems i had are crashing drivers in work, and for example some gpu get crazy and start to give lower result...also when switching from ETH to ZEC...and others, now there is no any problems. I plan to modify bios today.

I also had problems with my 6*480 rig on Ethereum mining. I changed to mine Zcash (using Claymore's Zcash miner) because - as I calculated - at this time it's more profitable to mine ZEC with Polaris cards.
ETH is considerably more profitable (right now) to mine than ZEC.

Will Claymore issue a new miner for the ethereum hard fork tomorrow morning? Or is that even necessary?

It is not necessary. The POW is the same. Ethereum has hard forked many times before. That does not affect the miners.

Older cards are better for ZEC at this moment because Claymore optimizes his miner for those GPU-s. With RX4xx cards you should mine ETH now. But the profitability changes day by day.. so God knows what will be profitable tomorrow.

When I restart remotely and there is no monitor attached to any GPU (6x RX480) Remote Manager and even when I login to RDP miner itself shows onlu temp and fan speed of only one GPU. Is it a known bug or am I doing something wrong ? All other rigs temps are fine and I'm also using tstop command if something goes wrong, but I'm still wondering why is this happening?

Hello I would like to understand the difference between reported hashrate and current effective hashrate? What is the difference between these 2 values? why blue sometimes exceeds green? And sometimes it is below? I do not understand . thank you

Hello I would like to understand the difference between reported hashrate and current effective hashrate? What is the difference between these 2 values? why blue sometimes exceeds green? And sometimes it is below? I do not understand . thank you The reported rate is reported by your rig. Which should be exactly what you see on your software for mining. Effective hashrate is calculated from the number of submitted shares. More shares = more effective hashrate. Usually; Effective hashrate = reported hashrate * (100%-miner fee%)/100 * Luck of finding share

You have to use an hdmi (or display port) dummy plug (from $10 to $15, you can find some on amazon or ebay) to have monitoring / overclocking working on RX4x0. IIRC, using RDP disables monitoring too ... better use vnc, jump desktop or team viewer

Also I was thinking about dummies but I'll have to buy 50+ and it costs way too much. If this one GPU output doesn't affect the tstop command and internally miner sees the temps of other GPUs then it's ok, if not I need to find a way

I had that problem before where the hash rate is lower when I'm not dual mining with my power costs I cant afford to dual mine anymore

Hasn't been worth dual mining for some time (with the AMD RX4xx cards).
