Seems like drivers/Radeon some how occasionally crashes when I lose my connection to pool/internet  Huh
I've only seen this happen once a few weeks ago. It's not common or any sort of priority, I'm just putting this out there.

5x470
Win7x64
Radeon 16.10.2 for bios mod and trying to get 6x, seems fine Roll Eyes

So here's what I can see happen in the logs.
Miner loses connection to the pool (confirmed on second rig). Reconnect fails after 20 seconds, half a second later GPU3 is down, 6 seconds later all 5 are down. Eventually temp/fan speed is polled and GPU4's fans aren't spinning, it's not hot, but wth? Eventually get a few "Got incorrect temperature -101, ignore". 10 minutes later it reconnects, 5 seconds later it fails to connect for Devfee, connects second try. Reports 0.000 MH/S on all cards. Devfee ends, connects to main, zero hashrate. ~50 seconds after first reconnecting the log ends, presumed blue screen.

Any idea what might be going wrong here? I'm a newbie and just trying this on my existing Windows 10 PC with 16 GB RAM and 1GB Nvidia Geforce 610. I'll eventually get this onto a different platform but just playing around at the moment. I already allocated 16GB virtual storage as was recommended when other's had this basic same error message:

CUDA error - cannot allocate big bugger for DAS, Check readme.txt for possible solutions.

I'm not sure if this card is supported but I didn't see any mention of the minimum video memory size required to run.

There's a command for cards with less than 4gig of ram, might not support a card as low as 1gig

It's mentioned A LOT.

You need a 2GB card to mine Ethereum and even then 2GB doesn't work for most cards. The DAG (not DAS) file is too big.

You "might" be able to mine an alternative Dagger/Hashimoto coin like EXP.  See the first post to learn how to change Claymore to mine EXP.

I know you're a new guy but if you want to mine you're going to want to look into newer equipment.

for the guy with the Geforce 610....1gb....ouch well its not going to work for ethereum i'm sorry.  But there is hope, fear not, the simplest thing you can do is download nicehash miner software, and see if it works with that.  If it does work, then you'll be able to see your speeds for a bunch of different algorithms, and after that you can choose a coin you want to mine.  you can try sgminer, ewbf's miner too.  good luck, but its better to get a newer gpu Smiley

Hello mr. Claymore.

I have a problem with the miner. From time to time it stops and it doesn't restarts itself after the "Miner thread hangs, need to restart miner!". If i press 's' for the statistics then the miner start the restart procedure, but until then just nothing. I had this happen twice today. I'm running:

Win 10 pro x64
Intel i7 - 6700k
8 gb ddr4 ram
Power Color RX 480 - Red Devil (with modded bios and underclocked) (just 1 card)

I'm attaching the 2 log files. Hope that they will help you.

I think in this point of view the watchdog is not working correctly, because it is taking action only when 's' is pressed.

Thank you Smiley. Hope you can help me.

With ethminer, software reports ~40MH/s, and my pool reports the same
With claymore, software reports ~40MH/s, pool reports ~15MH/s

I earned 1.5 EXP over 24 hours, when expected was ~5 EXP per 24 hours.  This can't just be chalked up to variance and luck.  EXP is low diff coin.

Hey Claymore, did you know about the bug which prevents using your miner on eth-like coins with Epoch #0?

GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
set GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
set GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
set GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool coinotron.com:3344 -ewal yourusername.miner -epsw x -esm 2 -allpools 1 -dbg -1 -mode 1 -mport -3333 -dpool stratum+tcp://dcr.coinmine.pl:2222 -dwal yourusername.miner -dpsw x -dcri 30 -di 1

Check the first page for differences for the pools, esm etc.  Put set before teh gpu_force_64 bit.  should be good.  I'd love to dual miner, but man my rigs get way too hot and it consumes too much electricity.

Yeah, is because that GPU is connected to a display ?  or was ?  Just reboot the rig, should work.  You may need a dummy plug

Fixed this issue.  I changed EXP pools, and both miners submit accurate hashrates now.  For some reason with the exp.suprnova.cc pool, the shares that my miner said were being submitted weren't being shown on suprnova.  Dwarfpool works perfect.

Check read-me for examples. Everything you need is there.
Here you can calculate dual mining profits easily: (Remember to put correct pool fees!)
