I am using it as an investment at a moment as the place where I live is not that tech developed and people are not aware about it so it makes difficult for me to use it as a currency.

It is still good. If you can't spend bitcoins, you can just hold all of them and wait til a very high price. It is actually better because you will not be tempted to spend your bitcoins on useless things.

Yeah. But if really needed you might want to withdrew it. Notjing wrong with it. Bitcoin is not really made just to be stucked in your wallet.
Withdrawing your coins actually help in the bitcoin network since your coins gets into the active circulation.
Holding coins are not actually helping the bitcoin network since there is a lowering possible supply of coins because many are becoming inactive coins.

I think the price would rather rise when holding them than when withdrawing them. It would put it in circulation, but would mean selling it (which would mean we are not interested in it anymore), so it would lower the price.

for now I'm using it as an currency to buy some extras on the internet because I dont know where to invest it and I dont have any trading skills at this moment . hoping this year that I can use bitcoin as an investment so that I can have extra money to use in real life.  Grin
Lol I think if you do not know where to invest bitcoin and how much you want to invest I think you just need to hold the course in your bitcoin wallet and wait for prices to rise. you have to have is patience I'm sure you will benefit from this investment? why do not you try it?
Yeah if one doesn't have knowledge of trading and investment then the best thing is to hold them for future, no doubt holding will not grow your coins but if price goes higher in future you can earn good profits from it.

Yes, for a newbie who are new to bitcoin I think holding a great way to do. Because if they have long known bitcoin, then later they will also know about trading. Due trading requires knowledge and experience about the market analysis. hehe

But it is also going to be a good thing if a newbie is going to know how to use his bitcoin for real life as a currency for sure he is going to be encourage if he ever manage to use it as a currency. And of course at the same time it is also better if he is going to hold some of the portion of his bitcoin so that he can have his own investment.

There is no complexity in using it as a currency, they can use it wherever they want, but as a newbie they might not be aware that which is the right place to invest their coins.

Most people that get into bitcoin, do so because they think it will increase in value in the future. Most people treat Bitcoin as an investment and not as an actual currency, and that is ok. People should be free to do so.

Until the usage is more mainstream and people get paid in Bitcoin, it doesn't make much sense to pay with Bitcoin for most of the stuff out there when fiat is enough. Sometimes it is very useful for certain services, but most of the everyday stuff can be paid in fiat.

Yeah if you have enough fiat in order to pay your bills it is better to use that than to use bitcoin, since I personally have no doubt that bitcoin is going to increase in value.
the problem if they are accept bitcoin how if they aren't accept bitcoin, it's still be a problem for bitcoin and i'm sure some online shop has know about bitcoin but they are still not believe with bitcoin.

I used bitcoin as investment in itself, as invest to other coins and I also used it as currency to buy things.
But I generally think its investment in itself, it is future of internet world.

But I think selling our bitcoins is more harmful then holding them with us, as with that the supply is increased and with a limited demand the price of bitcoin decreases and people lose their money in their and start to cry.

By the best of all is to use it as a currency for our daily needs.

I am not using bitcoin as investment cause i don't have enough bitcoins for it, so it's just a currency for online shopping, cause it's not accpeted in my country.

That's true majority of them are ponzi but there may be some genuine sites too but its really difficult to identify them as once you start have a negative feeling its becomes difficult to trust anyone.

Yeah, maybe there are still some sites that are legit. But we never know what will happen next. Because at first they did pay us, with our money (not yet reached roi) and every few days / weeks later they were closed. Even for months was closed for reasons that make no sense. For me, knowing the risks that are not comparable, it is better not to come to invest in it.
I think most investment sites today use Ponzi system and hyip. very little investment sites are trusted and properly run a business. investment sites today prefer short-term profits. yeah I know it will be more profitable. but I think you are guilty of stealing other people's money to be scam

I use them mostly on investment as I believe that when I keep saving and invest my money in bitcoin it will grow in the future and it will provide me a bigger interest income compared to putting my money in the bank. Sometimes it can be a currency for me just to spend some minor expenses like topping up a load in my mobile phone.

This is what i am doing and most of the users who believed in bitcoin. but for those who do not invest because they are scared i think most of the time they will exchange it into fiat for the security of their income.

Yes, that's true because new investors are attracted due to HYIP and scam investment as they want some easy money, but after the experience they were able to get some lessons learned to be more strong and able to spot the right investment, for now since we are increasing I believe these investors are into trading and investing in bitcoin alone.

In the long run, the value of bitcoin will be further promoted, and will be more and more people to accept, so I will invest bitcoin, and focus on its development as the basis of currency

Really, that was an interesting fact.  So it is like the ordinary coins wherein the banks always told us to spend our coins always.  Here in our country now prohibited people to save money using our coins as this will help to utilize our coins.  So it goes the same with bitcoins, you really have a good point there.  I always spend my bitcoin because I uses bitcoin to earn some extra income.

If you want to invest I prefer to invest on such gambling or casino site's but yeah it's not like HYIP can give profitable double in 24 hours but better it's safe but still risky tho.
That's good you've started trading now with Bitcoin, mine too but still I'm using both of them and mostly as currency as because investment for a long term.

How I wish I could start trading. I am seeing myself trading soon. I still need to study the workaround and the fundamentals of trading though. I still don't have ample time at the moment but I am seeing that I can do that within the end of the year. It will be my retirement hobby soon Smiley

Trading will just be there waiting for you. Better to have more knowledge than just running through it with a gun but with no bullet. It can be a hobby anytime for it doesnt take much time.

Yes and its good to get into trading only after doing proper homework, as trading is not going anywhere, but you should enter it only when you feel that you can handle it efficiently.

Do you use bitcoin as currency? Or you use bitcoin as investment? Or both?
I use bitcoin as currency and i never sell my bitcoin, but i prefer to use bitcoin when price is rising Grin

So, how about you?

Both of them, like 65.6% of others here. But every time I spend my coins I know that a year from now I would be able to buy more with the same amount. The thing is you need to buy things to live and if you don't have enough fiat you use Bitcoins. What else can you do?
