Sorry, another question just out of curiosity in regards to the team. Neil Haran, one of the team members, worked as a CEO of Inearth until April this year. 11-50 employees according to Linkedin but the website is offline. What happened to the project?
Hi Tusho, During my days at inEarth, we worked on all sorts of games while trying to figure out what could be successful in the social gaming marketplace. We finally concluded that integrating financial incentives through blockchain technology would be the future of gaming, and in April of this year, the inEarth company was officially dissolved. This has allowed me to turn my focus on the development of the core features of the Peerplays blockchain, with the aim of creating an architecture which will enable an entire ecosystem to be built around it. If you are looking for an example of some of my previous work, one of my personal favorite games that we developed is called Rawbots: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Rawbots. Rawbots lets players build their robot/machines similar to legos, program their robots and then engage in epic battles against other people's robots. One idea we have been floating around recently is the notion of using Rawbots as a prototype proof-of-concept in order to demonstrate some of the features that the Peerplays decentralized marketplace will offer to MMO games, like the ability for players to buy and sell their awesome Rawbots which they have built from scratch. That said, here are copies of Rawbots for mac and windows if you want to check it out (linux is experimental): Windows: Dropbox - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/38744980/rawbots_windows_0_1_4.zipGoogle Drive - https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B42Wtrlp8xi9VGQ4VGxqSVNYN2sTorrent - https://kat.cr/rawbots-windows-0-1-4-t12391367.htmlMac: Dropbox - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/38744980/rawbots_1.4_mac.zipLinux (may or may not work): Yandex (folder) - https://yadi.sk/d/W906cTEK6-ERw/Rawbots%20Latest/LinuxThere are quite a few tutorials on YouTube, but here are a couple: Beginner tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yH_2Tqm2RQkIntermediate tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ysu0XDOFjwThis is just one small example of the many things we have in the works for this project in the near future. I am putting together an outline that I hope to release next week which should give a good high level overview of how the ecosystem will be organized in terms of gaming development. Any interviews or videos with Neil Haran speaking about the project? His linkedin says the following about peerplays "Bringing provably fair MMO gaming to a new decentralized internet." MMO is actually a term reserved for different type of games and is not used for gambling/sports betting etc. Would love to hear what the man has to say about all this.
Hi SwedishGirl, MMO stands for “Massive Multiplayer Online” gaming, which simply refers to any game which is able to support a large number of concurrent users within the same ecosystem/world. It can be applied to poker, sports betting, League of Legends, or any other of the thousands of popular social games. Even games like Farmville, Clash of Clans etc. which are asynchronously MMO (users don't interact with others in real time), are still generally categorized as MMO. Hope this helps to clarify Hi Neil, Thank you for addressing this, I appreciate. Rawbots looks good, well done. Hope you learned a lot during the inEarth times and looking forward to seeing the capabilities incorporated into Peerplays! Thx.

Started May 6 and yet the tokens are not yet done form distribution . Better have a good catch-up marketing. Only UIA not an independent blockchain platform.

I would suggest not to click any fishy links before OP or people from the team have verified them to be safe/true.
Just for precaution.
Edit: didn't see the youtube links, my bad. Just saw the dropboxes and have had bad experiences from them. (getting hacked/accounts stolen)

Neil Haran,
It is still not clear which game(s) will be presented first. Is it some poker, social game or what? This is really important to understand, because it will reflect many important things of the project and will help people to understand the project and developers vision.
My personal opinion that the best choise is gambling as it is will take attention of large number of peoples and commercial companies on the market. I think this is the only kind of games that will attract people outside of crypto community.

Thanks for the remarks Neil!! Always good to see transparency from a team member Definitely anticipating the high level overview of the gaming development ecosystem. This will bring some additional clarity to the project, which never hurts.

What is the usual turn around for the DAO to start voting on this? It looks to me like they have no chance getting into the 2-tiered crowdfunding.

So under the new proposal, the DAO would get 20% of peerplays earnings. Is that token based (so 20% or 200k tokens go to DAO), or do they get 20% off the top of the profit from the full token amount (1000k)?
Also, what is the actual offer from the DAO (increased valuation)?

I want the rest to be bought quickly so I praise it
why do you want that? It make no sense, you have your epensive peerplays and the rest will be sold in the crowdsale anyway (and much cheaper as i except). are you paid for this disgusting promotion? what you mean dude? Isnt the rest going to be auctioned?

It looks like DAO would get 20% of the tokens...which is 200,000. The tokens will come from remaining 2nd phase (if any left at time of DAO vote) then from Auction tokens. The offer is $1.2M for the 20% (includes the development of Ethereum Sidechain by Peerplays added to revised proposal)...which is equal to $6 a token (right now the tokens are $3 for 2nd phase). Looks like if DAO approves the revised proposal, the tokens will immediately be valued at $6 per token because that is what the DAO will pay. Not a bad investment so far! I noticed over 20k tokens sold since proposal came out, so people think its a good deal at $3 a token right now. My question to Peerplay: Will the developed Ethereum sidechain be available to anybody in the future for their projects looking for DAO funding? Thanks,

So by the time they vote, there won't be any 2nd tier tokens left.....pretty much guaranteed. That means their 200k will all come out of the auction pot, thus reducing the tokens available during the auction in October by 40% from 500k to 300k. And the assessed value for the proposal is $6. Sounds like a win, win for everyone. Too bad I didn't pick up more during the $2 phase.

Hi increaser, The official Position of the Peerplays team is that we will not be releasing the name of the first game until the test net goes live. I posted a few days ago with answers to some other questions about the game, so you might want to check that out if you haven't already: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1462351.msg15129796#msg15129796Neil is working to put together an overview of the gaming development vision, which I believe will be available in a week or two.

People already paying over $3.6 per token on the decentralized BTS exchange. By the way, I am really interested to know more about this: 5% – BTS Sharedrop It's not in the OP but it is in http://www.peerplays.com/news/updated-dao-proposal/What do we need to do to take part in this airdrop?

The tokens are going out really fast. Less than 28k available. It looks that in 2-3 days there will be no more cheap tokens and the price offered to the $DAO will actually be a steal.
By the way it is quite possible that the auction style crowdfunding puts the price above $6, so why don't we just show a big fat middle finger to the DAO...
