So true, you must be dedicated about quitting or shall we say "commitment" to quit. You must commit to quit whatever it takes, and make it your ultimate goal.You must fight this urge to gamble,spend your time on your passion or hobbies or discover and develop it.

Yeah, one must have a great dedication in order to fulfill his goal of quitting from gambling. It may not be easy but to think of the benefits after quitting gambling is another thing to considered. Quitting gambling must be done as soon as possible if you know for yourself that you are getting addicted to it which is very dangerous.

that's the key to quit gambling forever , yeah a totality on reaching something . and the process itself same important , when you failed to reach the target through that process at least you can learn something to do better next time. as nothing useless when you smart enough to find something good even in the worst thing. consolidate your will to quit gambling and do whatever it takes.

You could do outdoor activities, learn new things *not related to gambling*, sports and etc. there are a lot of ways to get gambling into your system. Just to share I have a cousin who is also addicted to gambling to the point that he even sold his own house. After that he enrolled into a rehab program for gambling addicts, After a year he's out and he committed not to gamble again. Now, he regain what he loss. THe process was hard it took him like 2 years to cover all his losses. Dedication is the key.

this is because his cousin can not stay away from gambling so he need to be enrolled into a rehab program but if we are not too heavy addicted in gambling, then we don't have to join into that programs. all we need to do is doing a new activities like he said, we need to do every day or every two days and its not related with sports because it could triggered us to thinking about make a bets with our friends.

I agree!  It is a matter of decision. If you want to quit then quit.  Do not hesitate, no excuses and never have an excuse to give way for your gambling habit.  If you have excuses and you hesitate then you are not serious to quit gambling anyway.  Quitting is a matter of yes and no, the battle is fought inside but the result should be seen if you are dedicated enough to your decision.

Gambling is still entertaining nowadays because I gamble for fun. Most people dont want to gamble only for fun but they want to get as much profit as they can. Wow that is really a good self discipline you have. Before I lost a lot of money though I still kept on coming back. Though I don't bet as big as before. Really, don't you feel tempted to bet when you watch your favorite sports on TV? I find it quite boring to watch my favorite matches without betting on them and I think that is also one form of my addiction towards betting/gambling. Hi guys and girls! After making quite a lot of money then losing it and crying about it half the afternoon I have decided to give up gambling for good.  Its not for me in have a much too addictive personality. So now I just plan to work for casinos but not gamble.

The thing is you know you should cash out but you always want just that little bit more and then u lose the whole lot. I'm stupid and greedy. Right after I lost i put more in and doubled it then I went all in and lost it. So yes u can make a killing gambling with such a small about like a few dollars but then u lose all u make and waste a lot of time and energy and end up getting upset. Also i shake like mad when I gamble and I hate that. I tremble. When I lose I can't believe what the screen is telling me.

Giving up gambling is just same as quitting smoke, drinking or any other vices, it's quite hard and somehow almost impossible. The best way to do it is to find other hobbies just like watch a movie, play  online games or sports, read books and etc. You just need to be diverted and find other ways to control your thirst to gamble. Sure gambling is an easy money, but it's also an easy way to lose everything that you have.
