If there is another crypto better than BTC yes,it can be replaced, the thing is it has to better than it and attract more people to it so it gains its proper market and volume so it doesn't crash,I definitely think that this can happen, however BTC is really well known and is the most famous cryptocurrency so for another one to take its place over it has to be significantly better and offer something unique

What's better for you?
It depend of your needs.

I think bitcoin will stay longer on top because none try 51% attacks on the blockchain and this like that, this coin have a lot of respect from all and others alts always will have haters.
funny how everybody always brings the argument that bitcoin is the most known coin and therefor will be not replaced. but how many people of the general public know bitcoin? not even 95% and we are not better then 1% when it comes to who has some bitcoins. so i do not understand how people can not imagine that maybe a big and known institution (maybe a bank) comes along bring out some coin (it does not even have to be better. it can be shitty) makes a huge marketing campaign and becomes more famous then bitcoin. shops that were afraid of using bitcoin will be suddenly open to it and this is how the story ends for bitcoin.

You're right, but Bitcoin will always be on top because it's the first one to appear here and if a bank would open their own cryptocurrency, everybody who'd use it would also know what Bitcoin is because that's where it all started from. Nothing can take Bitcoin over, I'm pretty sure about that.

bitcoin was not the first attempted on digital money, but it made many things right and was the first successful, so you could argue it was the first working one. but look at the history or even at the history of internet companies. there were many we-are-the-first-ones that never made it after some other company came along and did it better. we might even still know who did it first, but our children will not. if you have trouble to think of such a company, then just google it ... oh wait google is one of those. is anyone using some other search engine? nor really. was it the first one? no!

Yeah that's something it is true and not to blame. Because before the advent of the bitcoin digital currency already exists, but this is the first bitcoin appear to be complete and became the first successful crypto in assisting the needs of all the people who already know sisiliah update or the internet. So, this is something that is very profitable for us because with the advent of the bitcoin can easily search advantage

I think it could happen, bitcoin can be replaced by cryptocurrency if bitcoin prices decline.
but I think for the moment remains above cryptocurrency and difficult to replace bitcoin because its price tends to be stable even increased.
That's the nature of bitcoin, it decline and rise again, that's why it's volatile. It will only be replace if it losses it's popularity among it's supporters and new currency will be popular. We cannot take that possibilities because we are in the crypto world and it's full of surprises here.
But for me there is no other coin in crypto currency can replace bitcoin on the top since the popularization of bitcoin is now very great and if there is a other coin i think it is need more time to make it on the top.

yes i think its really hard to replace bitcoin with another cryptocurrency but for the price, as i remember, in few days ago, when zcash is launch in poloniex, the price is far beyond bitcoin and its really high but now the price of zcash is getting down to the bottom and hard to gets up again.

and people that know bitcoin is just knowing bitcoin to make transaction and make withdraw with fiat so they don't think that there are any cryptocurrencies that will replaced bitcoin.

The same happened with augur, zcash were used to bump and it had been traded at 3 btc for a single coin, some people made a fortune into those, since it started to be traded around 1btc and then dumped to 0,50btc. Those which invested in the begining were able to make good result while others had loose the opportunity as me.

Bitcoin might not be replaced by anything similar in concept - what I mean by that is another decentralized crypto.
But there is high chance of disturbing BTC market by project like national cryptocurrencies.
I have on mind recent idea of Chinese Government - they are currently hiring blockchain specialists to help them launch new cryptocurrency.

That is true and when bitcoin failed to deliver its features and other coins surpas the expectation from bitcoin. There coins that are evolving or implementing a different platforn.I think there is a little "competition" here.

It's not impossible to happen if the other cryptocurrency is better than bitcoin.
Many coins had been invented and not single one could replace bitcoin, it's not easy to gain people trust and going through the process, obstacles, problems and time (7 years) that bitcoin has been pass through.

I think that anything can happen at any time so we shouldn't underestimate the possibility of other cryptocurrencies taking over bitcoin. But for that to happen, it's must take years for one cryptocurrency to have important position like bitcoin now and that currency must gain people trust and be strong enough not to die halfway.

In the present times and in the near future is extremely difficult to be replaced by alt coins. After approximately 7 mining years has acquired a maturity and established in the mind not only for enthusiasts and guru of computers but also everyday ordinary people. Moreover,  from the time that took his place in the Stock Exchange of America it is very difficult to be  replaced from other cryptocurrencies.

in the future its possible that bitcoin will be replaced by a better coin or token in terms of technology maybe by how fast the confirmation and encryption. Bitcoin could also be replace because of the value of another coin. One that I've thought about is ETH because its just very useful even for other token.

Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?
Maybe yes, maybe no. We can never know what happen in the future. We can only wait and analyze as well as predict our future. And because of that, we need to believe in Bitcoin, believe that it will never be replaced by another cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin won't be replaced by any other cryptocurrency because there is not even a single cryptocurrency which has even 1/3 adoption and acceptance like Bitcoin and this is biggest hurdle or obstacle for them to give competition to Bitcoin. There were lot of cryptocurrencies cam out claiming to replace Bitcoin but people even don't remember their names even. Bitcoin has more stable and bright future.
There are many coins claiming they can replace bitcoin but unless the developers and investors are naive I think that is nothing more than a marketing scheme, think about it if you said you created a coin  you must say your coin is better than the best if you don't then why do we need that altcoin at all?

yes that is a fact and we are hearing that for last few years but still bitcoin is on number one and no other bitcoin can even reach to it hope bitcoin will continue its position and the number of bitcoin users will continuously increase.

Do you really think that another crypto currency will come and survive for so many years like bitcoin and gain a price and popularity like bitcoin and then it will replace bitcoin? That does not seem to be happening, bitcoin has almost everything a person might want from a crypto currency so i don't see any reason bitcoin getting replaced.

Yes it is and that is why it is hard to think that another crypto currency will change on the position of bitcoin. Because this is now the world's most popular crypto currency so if another crypto will replace this. It is a very impossible thing to think that it can be easily replaced by any other crypto currency in the market.

It is really possible to replace the bitcoin by another crypto but it will be in the far future. It is too early now to replace bitcoin and its full potential is not seen yet. If people will get tired of using bitcoin and they are not contented using it then someone will create a currency greater than bitcoin.
