Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency?

It is really possible to replace the bitcoin by another crypto but it will be in the far future. It is too early now to replace bitcoin and its full potential is not seen yet. If people will get tired of using bitcoin and they are not contented using it then someone will create a currency greater than bitcoin.

I don't even think of that yet because if you compared bitcoin with altcoins, there is no competition and it's clear that bitcoin is more dominant. As of the moment, bitcoin is increasing while altcoins are dropping, that's what happen when a certain asset cannot compete with the other.

Why not? It could certainly be replaced. Bitcoin functions in such a way that allows other crypto-currencies to compete with it. Based on true capitalist free market ideas,
anything can go down under, including the might bitcoin. But if it is replaced, I imagine it will only be replaced with something better, unless the feds step in and ruin it for us with their crippling taxation fees and regulations. If that happens, I would protest the regulations.

I would like to tell you something, do you believe that there forever? If yes then you are being unrealistic, there is not constant in this world except change, even though bitcoin is very promising now but any negative news will deeply affect the market, remember it has died already and recovered.

Yes it is possible because as the day is coming people are more looking into some more projects that will make new trend, more convenience and more profit to generate. But if we are not able to find it with some other projects, then we will just stay with bitcoin and won't ask for some more newbie crypto currencies that are coming out.

Bitcoin might not be replaced by anything similar in concept - what I mean by that is another decentralized crypto.
But there is high chance of disturbing BTC market by project like national cryptocurrencies.
I have on mind recent idea of Chinese Government - they are currently hiring blockchain specialists to help them launch new cryptocurrency.

This kind of replacement without any doubt is what the authorities have been nursing, but how disappointed they all would be at the end of the day. The wide spread acceptance of bitcoin was not for the fun of it, but hinges on the fact that bitcoin is a revolution that arrested the  financial colonialism people have been subjected to overtime and which is what the authorities are fighting tooth and nail to reinstate, but the people are wiser now.

At least at this stage, that's very unlileky to happen. There's more than a thousand coins out there, and none of them is showing signs to be a replacement for Bitcoin. The closest in market capitalization, Ethereum, seems to have a lot of flaws, and most others have improvements that can be implemented in Bitcoin.

It was Bitcoin which made its way and that is what made it to be so valuable and unique in its way. Do you really think that another crypto currency will come and survive for so many years like bitcoin and gain a price and popularity like bitcoin and then it will replace bitcoin? That does not seem to be happening, bitcoin has almost everything a person might want from a crypto currency so i don't see any reason bitcoin getting replaced.

That happens all the time especially in the world of technology, look at apple they created a beautiful PC but then IMB created a dirt cheap PC and outsold apple, it was only when apple created new and incredible products they reached the top again, it is just the nature of the tech business.

currently bitcoin is on top and and hope that it will remain on top we can speculate that. as in our area there was not a single shop who were accepting bitcoin when i join bitcoin, but now we can see that there are 3 or 4 shops who are giving bitcoin service. then accept bitcoin for shopping, on other side now i can recharge my mobile and can pay my utility bills using bitcoins.

It will as long as we continue to buy and push the demand, there are a lot of industries that are making bitcoin great especially the gambling sites as people always loses there money hence it increase the demand, try to imagine if sharks will be using bitcoin then it will make demands.

It is possible that another currency will replace bitcoin because anything is possible with the emerging of new innovations nowadays. Bitcoin is like the father of cryptocurrencies that is why it would be hard to replaced but it is possible. There are many digital currencies appearing from time to time and who knows a certain digital currency may attract an investor and then later on attract the cryptocurrency users thereby making them use the currency and later on some companies may make it one of their payment options.

Currently if you observe the situation in the country India, you can see people are replacing their existing currency to btc. They are paying 900$ for a btc. India has a huge population and if it's accepts btc I don't think it will be able to replace that easily. I yet haven't seen any good currency as a replacement, but this time I will be buying it when it's low, was getting btc at very low prices fee years back and lost a chance
