It will really be hard to say whether it will be replaced or not, time will tell but a lot of Alts have tried and failed maybe "the next big thing" can do the magic we are waiting. But in the real sense, Bitcoin has really come to stay and has maintain its position right up there and even other cryptos real value are determine in relation to the price of Bitcoin just like the USD in the FIAT world but who knows? The future is uncertain.
Yes the future will show what will happen with bitcoin. By my opinion bitcoin can join with other crypto currencies and make some one named crypto currency. I think in the case if it would be only one crypto currency the work would easy accept it, banks would start to work with it as with any other currency. Today there are many alts, some of them fall, some rise. Such not stabile situation attracts only low percent of users. And one crypto would get big popularity I think.

Probably because of the high demand and the high price of bitcoin and how it became hard to mine and no one can buy it for its very high price it maybe possible to see other alt coins taking over probably litecoin since it is the second after it
nope the higher the price, the demand will be higher, you know in advance the price of bitcoin was $ 1 course everyone will want to buy bitcoin in the price of $ 500, but you can see by now everyone buy bitcoin at a high price

We do not know what will happen in the future more other crypto currency compete bitcoin in the top but we can help bitcoin to remain number one by using it much more to increase the demand.
one way to help the bitcoin to stay afloat is to continue to use it and at least you invite a friend to join using bitcoin, if it continues to run the bitcoin will persist from any threat

No it doesn't make sense to believe that bitcoin will be replaced by another crypto currency
Actually it would make perfect sense once we get there. One of the biggest flaws of bitcoin is the slow transactions, if a crypto-currency successfully fixed that, then the developer of that coin can explain how did they do it. It would make sense especially to the makers of bitcoin how to fix that flaw. There are also things that you should (potentially) be worried about like China holding the majority of bitcoins. We don't know what is their plan about it so using an altcoin for that reason makes sense.

Well, this time very much altcoin excellent, especially altcoin very easily available and has a high price. but I believe no matter how well the altcoin, never can replace bitcoin, so I guess altcoin will only be used as a side business after looking bitcoin

This week/month showed to us the power of bitcoin in terms of global acceptance.
If bitcoin can be replaced? Well, it will be an long road to another crypto get that highlight...
I think for any bitcoin life, if bitcoin continue berovolusi according to the times and user trust and continue to use bitcoin, then there will be no other cryptocurrency which will replace the bitcoin The trust of the people on bitcoin is continuously increasing and therefore they are putting investing their assets in bitcoin and that is the reason that the price of bitcoin is increasing rapidly, hope that the trend of increasing the price of bitcoin will continue for a long time. As long as people keep their trust bitcoin will never get replaced. Trust is not enough to keep a coin being the best, trust is necessary but also other things are needed since the development of bitcoin continues there is the possibility of a new and even more incredible coin to appear and to replace bitcoin.

that's about as wrong as i could possibly imagine. nothing, but nothing, happens without trust. trust outweighs any technical cleverness or hype. trust is important enough with government backed money, every weak government tries to control the flow of their currency into dollars because they know the people trust it, not their national currency. take away government and law, which is the case with crypto, and trust is all that stands between success and total failure. if trust is shaken then people are gonna run and not come back. people put substantial money into alts. why? 9.8 times out of 10 it's to get more bitcoins because that's the only one they actually trust. they trust that exchanges and merchants are gonna continue to take it. they trust that miners and developers aren't gonna screw up and fork it into infinity. they trust that the supply is fixed and even if the distribution is still awful, it's not outright crooked or mired in secrecy like so many other coins.

There is no end of this thread, I`m reading from beginning `till the end and if you ask me now can bitcoin be replaced with another cryptocurrency I wouldn`t know what to answer you, so many opposed comments, and seems like everyone have arguments for their say-so. Just a lot of ramblings, few comments that gave a little insight in situation and predictions about future that have just people`s hope and nothing more. After bitcoins I can expect other miracles to show up, who knows what will happen in the future.

This is unlikely to happen. Despite having a certain level of instability, Bitcoin has made great strides in the market in recent years, and the number of users is increasing. I like some altcoins, Litecoin is a good one, but the trading volume is very low, and it does not have the same Bitcoin network effect.

Probably because of the high demand
No. High demand will result in the price going higher, and thus more interesting for people to take a position into Bitcoin. how it became hard to mine
Mining nowadays is only for people with tens of thousands of dollars that they can invest into hardware. If that's not possible for you, then please don't bother. no one can buy it for its very high price
Current price might be on the higher side, but it's not that people can't afford themselves an investment into Bitcoin. Also, you don't have to force yourself to buy a whole coin as you simply can buy smaller fractions of a coin. Bitcoin is a divisible currency tool where you can split 1BTC into 100,000,000 smaller fractions (satoshis). maybe possible to see other alt coins taking over probably litecoin since it is the second after it
It's not 2013 anymore where Litecoin was still seen as the Silver, where Bitcoin was the Gold that people were talking about. Right now it's all Ethereum & Co that people are interested in. Litecoin isn't part of the deal anymore. It's there, but that's all you can say about it.

You got that part right. In terms of market share Bitcoin is the most superior cryptocurrency in the market. Also in terms of price, Bitcoin is the most valuable virtual money out there. Even if every month there are a bunch of ICOs happening claiming that they are better than Bitcoin, it can't beat it as they are the first one to be available in the market.

Unless another alt coins will come out of nowhere and has bigger market cap than bitcoins. Then for sure many investors will look at it. Because as long as another alt coin will able to surpass the market cap of bitcoins that's the only way that bitcoin will be replaced. But as of now, total market cap of bitcoin is very far from other aspiring alt coins.
