Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency?

One thing that I have realized it is very difficult to happen, even for long time it is still very difficult to happen, even today some bitcoin transaction takes quite a long time, it does not mean people will switch and will replaced with other cryptocurrency. Bitcoin will still number one cryptocurrency.

As some people believe it could happen, I think the possibility of bitcoin replaced by another cryptocurrency could happen, although very small. Because of my positive thinking that in the future there is a new digital currency that can outperform bitcoin. Because every thing there is a season must have their own. Similarly, bitcoin is currently popular. Thank you

Yeah, I also agree with you. Bitcoin can be replaced by another cryptocurrency. But it will take time. Replacing bitcoin is not that easy because i has already established its position in the digital currency world and at present its the most successful digital currency in the world. Again if any other digital currency arrives with more features than bitcoin , definitely bitcoin will be replaced . But it will take time because bitcoin has already created hugh hopes and trust in the peoples mind. Its not that easy to break that.

Bitcoin transactions do not take much time but if compared with other currency it take longer because on other currencies there are not much load of transactions and if other currencies also started to use like bitcoin then it will take more higher times for confirmation and then no one will continue for other currencies and will come back for bitcoin usage.

Yeah, I also agree with you. Bitcoin can be replaced by another cryptocurrency. But it will take time. Replacing bitcoin is not that easy because i has already established its position in the digital currency world and at present its the most successful digital currency in the world. Again if any other digital currency arrives with more features than bitcoin , definitely bitcoin will be replaced . How come none of these altcoins have replaced bitcoin? AFAIK, all altcoins are a perfect copy of bitcoin and then added some feature/use to attract a certain market. It would take time but they don't seem to be having any progress on replacing bitcoins. Almost all of the altcoins out there promised that they are going to replace bitcoins, yet they are all worth 1 satoshi now.

At the end of the day, all of these cryptocurrencies are still built by their audience. If no one's using it, even though it has several more features than bitcoin, it's worth nothing.

Tl;dr: Only possible way for bitcoin to get replaced by another crypto-coin is to have more users than bitcoin.

Bitcoin was the first crypto-currency which changed the world. After that appeared many other altcoins , some of them are dead already and some of still exist. I think it's pretty possible to another currency replace bitcoin, something new that clear up all mistakes of bitcoin.

there is nothing  in the world which is impossible if we got anything better than this then why not . we will switch to that cryptocurrency and even thought we still having a huge issue with the transacton fees which is hardly taking away a big money like you have to pay a precious price if you want to deal. it feels like i am dealing with devels of hells

Bitcoin was the first crypto-currency which changed the world. After that appeared many other altcoins , some of them are dead already and some of still exist. I think it's pretty possible to another currency replace bitcoin, something new that clear up all mistakes of bitcoin.

Which mistake? The only "mistake" which comes to my mind is the 51% rule. But as far as I can remember, no one has come up with a better idea. And till now, the 51% rule hasn't caused the reversal of any of the Bitcoin transactions.

I don't think it is possible without involvement from big banks,governments etc... And even with such support it will be hard.
A superior currency (some would say it already exists) would still be YEARS behind BTC in terms of third party involvement (shops,restaurants,exchanges and other services).

Bitcoin already offers people what they are looking for, and thus there is no demand for the gimmick features that altcoins offer - which at the same time don't get even used by people beside some geeks finding joy in toying around. Bitcoin just needs to make sure it gets updated in the way that we find a solution to the currently endless block size debate. SegWit is what we need in this case. If pools for once stop messing around and start to support SegWit, then we have made a huge jump forwards.

Yup, it is the mother of cryptocurrencies and it will always remain like this! The most trusted, the highest safety, the biggest market cap around. Nothing will rival Bitcoin, in my opinion, at least not soon.

The possibility of taking over bitcoin by any other altcoin is just a dream and with the kind of followers bitcoin has and the technology behind it cannot be matched by other copy coins and it is not a realistic dream.

There are few cryptos what are on market from long time maybe will some few more but thay will exist together with bitcoin,it is any problem it is even very good to have some real strong alternatives

i think it will happen when cryptocurrencys reach acceptance at the main population.
more money and possibilitys will flow to this niche. blockchain is the future i am really sure with that.
