I just received a Christmas email offer from Inno of $1760 for returning customers on the A4. So no significant price drop. I know they are offering B1 and B2 owners an additional discount which I think is 4%, but still puts the price at $1690+shipping. So still not competitive with Antminer at the moment.
Got the same email, with the recent price increase I have the funds to purchase 3 more units, but I just can't justify it at this price.

Same here I have funds to buy more miners, but won't do it at these prices. I just started to tip toe into the Antminer's. I just bought one and will test it to see if I have issues before I buy more. Inno will have to bring prices down for me to add any more A4's.

Agreed, but I can't quite figure out where I would pull the trigger again, what do you think? $1500 or so or even less? When they charge over $200 for shipping for 1 to 2 units, I would think that is a good price point.

Well I look at the numbers compared to the S9 and I think the price point needs to be pretty close to that of an S9 since the profit is pretty close. So that would put the price down in the 1250-1400 range before it starts to get competitive depending on hash rate of the S9 unit.
Right now BTC is hot so kind of hard to judge(apples to apples) at the moment, but put in the numbers in a BTC profitability calculator and do the same for LTC the compare the numbers on the profit side. So I think the target needs to be really close to current S9 pricing.

Ok, Another observation with v2.0.2. The stats screen no longer lists the board, the number of cores etc. I would like to have maybe an "advanced stats" screen where I can still see all of that info. The new stats screen is truncated a bit. It provides essential info, but there are times I want to look at more detail. I hope we can get this open sourced so we can jazz it up a bit and possibly provide more detail the way we want to see it.

I believe the current B1 is 0.0.3, and the Batch 3 is v2.0.2 I think. I don't know that it is posted anywhere.
Yes, you are right. We will update the website soon. Thanks!

So, the update process seems straight forward. Any news on who in the US has a Jig? Preferably in the Arizona area? I can pull the cards and ship them to someone. Doesn't look like a lot of work, what would be the cost?
we are arranging the delivery of the Jig one by one for customers in the USA. Please contact us directly if you need the Jig.

Got my unit this evening and have been working to get it setup. I am using a LEPA 1600 watt PSU, but the 2 units won't start up with it. I can get the red lights blinking, but when I start the units up, everything just shuts off. I can start each unit individually, but not sure whats going on when trying to run both. Any ideas?
tbh i'm just surprised you bought one. they are obviously garbage in their CURRENT state... Our batch 3 miners works very stable now among customers. If you are batch 1&2 users, please feel free to contact us for the Jig delivery. We are glad to help. If you didn't even have one A4, then we will doubt if you are from our competitors.

Yes, LTC now at 3.63 and falling I won't be buying any more A4's at this price. The price needs to come down. Diff increase and lower LTC price is just too much for me to justify this price point and it does not appear to be improving any time soon.
The price of LTC has increased around $4.60 per LTC today.

Dear friends, 2017 is around the corner, we would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for your trust and support all the time over the years! Chinese new year is coming, next 3 months you will enjoy no competition in mining since Chinese new year will stop all new production. Only A4 is available in volumes.
No better timing than now, limited A4 before Chinese new year! Most important factor about mining is mine fast before any steep increase in hash power. Mine 1st makes profit 1st! The best mining time is now. 1st batch A4 buyers are already making money! Mine now and enjoy the profit today! A4 Support team wish you a Merry Chirstmas! Some Questions: 1. After CNY, Innosilicon will be resuming A4 production? 2. How many A4 are going be for sales into the market after CNY? 3. Is Innosilicon also mining with A4 in addition to manufacturing? Can you help clear this because I would like to understand your company's business model. 4. Is "#xnsub" feature supported in A4?

Ok, I received an update from Inno last night. There is good, there is BAD, and there is UGLY to this whole mess. I understand why there hasn't been any word from them now. They are also trying to figure out how to do this, and the cost to make just 1 jig is CRAZY expensive. So this is a HUGE mess.
So here are the basics in a nutshell. Inno is going to send 1 jig to the US. The cost to make one of the jigs is just insane so we will only get ONE jig to get this job done. I offered to take the lead in working with US customers to try and get everyone some sort of arrangement to get your miners flashed. I just don't know how this is going to get done otherwise. There is no simple solution and this is going to take time and going to likely be messy. So I ask for your patience up front as I know this isn't going to be easy.
So now we have to work out the details on how to best get everyone who needs the flash done. I know some customers will be more technically inclined than others and will be willing to flash their own rigs. For those customers I think the best solution will be to send the jig out to those customers. Others who are not so comfortable doing this we will have to coordinate shipping rigs and having myself or another trusted member who has the jig flash the miners for you.
For those who want to flash their own rigs, what we will have to do is setup a lottery where each member picks a number we put it in a hat and draw out the number. That person will have the opportunity to get the jig first to do the flash. Then we will do the lottery again and have the jig sent to the next person. We will work through the list of customers until everyone has an opportunity to flash rigs who is willing and able to do so.
Now the bad part here is that due to the cost of the jig we have to ensure that the jig is passed along and not kept by a member when we still have members who need to be flashed. So my suggestion here is that we setup an escrow. In order to get the jig sent out to you once your number is drawn in the lottery we will need to collect a deposit that is held by an escrow. The deposit will be returned to you as soon as the jig has been passed along to the next person who was picked in the lottery and has paid the deposit to have the jig sent. This way we ensure that the jig gets passed around and ultimately returned in case we should have to go through this exercise again.
There will need to be a time limit that any one member can keep the jig so that this process is not delayed for those waiting. I would say 7 days with the jig should be ample time to make some time to open up the A4's and to do the flash, and then to get the jig sent off to the next person waiting.
Since there is only 1 jig this is going to take time, and a lot of patience on everyone's part. It sounds like if we use DHL and keep the receipts and provide them to Inno that they may compensate you for the shipping costs for this. I need to confirm this with them so don't hold me to that. I will get the details and pass them along. So I will open this up to the community here to discuss the plan and work out the details. I want this to be as fair as possible for everyone and I will try to help anyone who is not comfortable flashing their rigs. You will have to make your need known so we can try to figure out how to get your rigs fixed.
I will be reaching out to other customers who are not members here on BCT and will give them the same information and suggest they join this discussion here on BCT to simplify communications for this juggling act with the 1 jig.
Ok, that is the scoop. Please feel free to offer suggestions and feedback so we can try to make this process work as smoothly as we can for everyone. This is a community effort at this point and this is all volunteer work. We have quite a few miners to get flashed so this is going to take a while. So please be gentle with me and we will work through this! LOL
I will let you know as soon as the jig arrives here and any additional details as I get them.
Longsnowsm, thanks for your help. We will take over here for the update. Hi, all. Currently we've sent several Jigs globally - > 1 Jig is in the US. We will send more Jigs to the US gradually. There may be a delay for the delivery due to the Christmas. We have replied to the emails that we received from several batch1&2 users. And we are arranging the delivery one by one. So just more patience. Merry Christmas and best wishes for you! A4 Support Team

I believe the questions were asked above and i would be looking for an answer as well:
1) does inno mine with the a4s or just sell them? 2) how many are you going to mass produce?
These are 2 key factors in my decision making on purchase or not purchase. Thanks

Do we know how the order has been determined? Is it geographical to minimize shipping costs or by order of purchase or other? Just wondering as I ocasionally am out of town for business trips, and I have one in Jan for 2 weeks in Little Rock... Would like to know where I am in the queue for planning purposes, and prefer to not just have it drop at my doorstep with little warning.

I don't know how the order has been determined. I was just informed who to send it to next. So I should have it in the mail tomorrow. Hopefully it arrives undamaged.
I was going to try and repack this in a more secure way, nothing I came up with made any sense. I may see if I can find another sheet of foam to put over the top of the jig to keep it in place better, but I will have to see what I can come up with around the house.
