So they have given update to us after many question asked by the people, atleast coinomi wallet is supporting the airdrop so now people will start moving their coin to the coinomi wallets.

Pretty sure if you are the owner of your private keys you will get airdropped on. That is how it has always been, and likely how it will always be. I could be wrong on the matter, but I expect to receive coins myself and I have a Trezor. Haven't looked for official information though, felt confident about the private keys aspect.

If you are in control of the private key then there will be a way for you to claim those coins. Holding coins an exchange is always a risk. I don't know whether exchanges might theoretically be obliged to credit you the respective amount of coins. Might be difficult to enforce your rights.
