The price trend of Ethereum Classic is bursting towards 50$, and investors should be pleased that the time of 100$will be exhilarating. Of course, I would prefer to see a big breakthrough in ETC technology, not just a pure price pull.

Waiting for it to break the barrier's of the 100$ mark but in the present situation there is a chance that ETC price will reach to more than 50$. Now the global market value is kept increasing and the value of Bitcoin is also increasing.

It will take lot of time to reach that price, prediction are always welcome but value is super high with this high prediction. I see good potential in it but the value of ETC suddenly increased in the market.

The classic Ethereum chain is the same as the original Ethereum chain. An open source fund called Dao in Ethereum software was played. To override Hacker's stolen funds, they created a new chain by going to a hard-forked 97% cut-off. So they would be able to get the funds back, and so did they. The newborn chain took the name Ethereum for being longer. The old and the small chain took the name Ethereum Classic. Some people are still alive because they keep using the old chain. If someday Bitcoin Cash will be the longest chain, the name will be Bitcoin and the current Bitcoin will be Bitcoin Classic. Just like it was in Ethereum.

In short, Ethereum Classic is not a chain born from Ethereum with hard fork. It's just the opposite.

But most of the shitcoins don't outperform Bitcoin. ETC had a great run though!

It's nice to be back at $30+. $100 is not looking impossible now. I'm seeing at least $50+ by end of this year.

Hey guys take look especially for the miners ETC EPool has updated to ECIP1017 compatible mining clients for the up-and-coming ETC monetary policy network upgrade that is happening on their about Dec 11th.
What is ECIP 1017?
The Ethereum Classic community has grown substantially since its inception in July of 2016. In order to further Ethereum Classic’s vision, the community needs to adopt a monetary policy that balances the long-term interests of investors, developers, and business operators.
The new monetary policy sets a limit for the total ETC issuance. The block reward will be reduced by 20% at block number 5,000,000, and another 20% every 5,000,000 blocks thereafter. Uncle block rewards will also be reduced. Due to variations in the reward rate of ETC, they anticipate the total supply to be approximately 210 million ETC, not to exceed 230 million ETC.
