Hello, I've been a miner (BTC and LTC) for a couple of years and a lurker here for nearly as long. I have been a fan of alternate non-state currencies for ages, and was drawn to crypto currency like a slightly inebriated moth to flame. I believe we're at the dawn of something tremendous, and just feel lucky to be a tiny part of it.

We are lucky to be a part of it.  You are lucky to have had the know how to mine it!

Welcome to the forums.   I hope you are using a cold wallet and not sending your btc to anyone on trust?

Hi there. I am a working machine and I heard of Bitcoin a few years ago but didn´t took it serious. But a few weeks ago somehow the idea of digital money came up again and i looked around the internet and Bitcoin crossed my way. I read this Forum and startet an experiment with mining Bitcoin in a pool. Now i think its the time to get an "active user of this board" in order to exchange thoughts bout Bitcoin with other people.

I mined some bitcoins a couple years ago, but have no recollection of the password. Sad SOOoooo over the weekend, I put together a branch of the bitcoin source to rapidly check passwords against the cryptographic hash of a given wallet. I've made it open source on GitHub, think there's any interest for something like it?

Hi, I'm ToWS. I've signed up because I have an observation about the current problems at Paytunia, Bitcoin-Central, Instawallet which I haven't seen mentioned elsewhere. Ah well, patience is, they assure us, a virtue.

Hey BTC Forum, my name is Wes. New to the fourm, this is my first post, but i've spent almost 2 years following BTC, and its been about 1 year since I bought my first coin. Now its time to up my participation again and start getting involved with this forum instead of lurking about.

Hi bitcointalk,

have lurked for nearly a year. Work in Tech and know a lot about bitcoin looking to get in touch with more Uk members to buy btc as our options keep getting limited. Hopefully will be able to contribute to the community too Smiley

Hi,

I've been following bitcoin for about a year and a half now, and I'm happy to see all the attention it's been getting lately.  I've been stuck for months on a problem related to my poor choice to encrypt a wallet that I believe was created from a 0.4.x client using a more recent version.  Attempting to send the coin that's in the wallet results in the error, "Transaction creation failed."  The bitcoin that is stuck in this wallet is now worth a non-trivial amount, so I intend on getting some posting done here and seeing if anyone can help in the tech support forum.

Hi all,

Hansen my name, Im interested in everything about bitcoins. Had a bunch a while ago, when they were around 10 dollars, saw them dropping to three and wasnt so mad when my wallet got lost because of a windows crash. No I AM mad, because the wallet now would be worth a couple hundred dollar. Shit happens. :-)
