Hey guys! Excited to get started!
Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I am your father. But no really, I'm just in this for the fun of it, I have a semi-decent system so I figured why not, and it's all interesting to me, and I'd love to learn more and hopefully be able to get better in the future. Mainly just looking for tips on maximum efficiency on my card.

hi,

during the last week  i've developed my own bitcoinclient with lua and ruby. thanks to many related projects online ( especially github ) this was possible, indeed!

the only still pending question for me is how to use OP-CODE scripts to set up more advanced contract signing ( smart contracting) within sigScript and scriptPubKey. obviously all existing clients use just the "most rudimentary" OP-CODE implementation. i would be thankful for every hint regarding an implementation of more sophisticated contraction within the bitcoin protocol.

kr,

nestor

Hi! I have been lurking around here for half a year, but now I need my first post to be able to PM Goat. I'm interested in his 105% PPS project.

I'm currently developing an experimental social AI platform

Hello all,

I am finally getting around incorporating Bitcoins into our business.  Wanted to for a while, but am not too tech savvy and have been putting it off.  Hopefully by the end of this week, we will be up and running.  Check out my post in the “BitCoin Businesses and Developers, Lets Get Started!” section for more details

Why are we interested in Bitcoins?

55 52.5% -Because Bitcoins is a great way to stick it to the Federal Reserve and other centralized banking schemes that use the force of government to protect their monopoly on the counterfeiting of money.  We want to participate in our small way to support alternative decentralized currencies.

40 37.5% -The Bitcoin community seems like a great place to offer our goods and services, as well as purchase the goods and services of others. In order for a currency to be successful it needs to be able to be exchanged for commodities.  We don’t mine Bitcoin, but we do create other commodities…so hopefully this is a win-win for us all.

10% -The newness and novelty of Bitcoin sounds like a fun adventure to be involved in to see where it goes and what happens.

I’ve been lurking for a long time on Bitcointalk and want to thank all those that have put this forum together and everyone that is sharing their knowledge.

EDIT: thanks for the help with my math. Roll Eyes
