Hello fellow (apparently) artard newbies Tongue May we all one day become wise full-members of this forum!

I feel like a tard, because I can't figure out how to begin my own post introducing myself. At any rate, here I am.

I heard about BC several months ago, but am just now beginning to learn about how it works. I'm here to learn all I can about it, and hope to find people who are knowledgeable, willing to answer my questions, and patient with me. I'm the first one to admit I can be kind of thick sometimes.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you, and networking together in order to bring BC more into the mainstream.

if you truely intend to have bitcoin be your main store of currency, i strongly recommend you look into dollar cost averaging.

Hi!

I've been living for 9½ years without money. I believe we are going to see a world where monetary transactions will not be needed for sustaining life and well-being, but where relationships will be the currency, relationships that cannot be bought with money.

I'm curious about BitCoin and other alternative currencies, and I would like to explore to what extent they can play a role in such a society as I envision, or in the transition towards it.

don't be so negative, the 5-post-4-hour-rule is there for a reason: to get rid of the trolls. NOT to piss newcomers off.

relax take it easy and smile. Cheesy

Hello all.  I registered because I started mining recently and I figured I could offer some useful comments to a particular thread. However being a noob on this forum restricts me to here for now.  Undecided

I am the king of Newbs.  I can't figure out how to get help for my problem.  I entered my password incorrectly too many times.  My account is deactivated.  How can I remedy this.  My miners are still working.  Do I lose the bitcoins that have been generated since?

I'm afraid I don't know, I don't mine. I suggest you go to the place where you have your account, and see if there is an option there Smiley

Ok, first message, wanted to register so I can tell my experience with various ATI Catalyst + SDK combinations in Ubuntu 10.04. Ati 11.6 + SDK 2.4 finally moderate CPU load while mining 6770 Radeon card and cgminer.

Ati 12.1 and SDK 2.3, 2.4, 2.6 all 100 cpu usage
Ati 11.6 SDK 2.3 and 2.6 100 cpu usage
Ati 11.6 + SDK 2.4 3% cpu usage, so happy.
