Hey all!

Stumbled upon the world of bitcoin while browsing the web. I am a complete newbie but I plan on putting a lot of time and research into this and fully learning the ins and outs.

Gotta start somewhere right?

Whats up.  Been mining for about 6 months now.  I love it and am addicted to buying rigs now.

Super interested in the FPGA stuff for sale.  That is why I am here.  And just to study Bitcoin more.

I buy and sell GPUs, most 5850s and 7970s.

Hello,

My name is Christy.  I was scammed by shades minoco, I lost over $300 cuz he lied and said he has a system.  I went to his house to try and figure it out.  He does not even own a computer!  The one he had, he was building for someone.  Don't you need a computer to do mining? I;m a girl, but I'm not stupid.  Can anyone help me locate this fool?

So let me try to understand your message:

  • You got scammed by shades minoco.
  • You went to his house to try and figure it out.
  • You need help locating this fool?

It sounds like you have already found them.

Can anyone with some Bit Coin clout address how long it takes to load up all the blocks and process before you can use the bitcoin client?

Even if I come back after a couple of days, it still takes 20 minutes to load and process.

I don't have to do all this with a credit card.    I know theres a technical reason, but isnt there a faster way?  Maybe set up processed blocks from trusted sites?

I'm not sure I understand it all, but I know that this will turn most people off.

just here to learn more.... thanks!

Yep. I came, I saw, I posted. I wonder how that would look in Latin? Probably not as poetic.

Thanks for the great forum.

P.S. I know Sat-oshi Naka-moto likes puzzles.

For Bitcoin to be a true global currency the value of BTC needs always to rise.
If BTC became the global currency & money supply = 100 Trillion then ⊅1.00 BTC = $4,761,904.76.

I'm Cerevisae from Malaysia. Currently editing on English wikipedia. I'm interested in translating the wiki article into Malay language. I hope that it is not too late! I saw on youtube how those people started they gigantic bitcoin mining rig. It is quite a formidable machine! My grahic card only has 68Mhash/s. Far from being profitable!

Greeting all,

I'm Chris, got interested in bitcoin back in the 30$ haydays.  Started hashing with a 4870, now upgraded to ~1.2 ghash total.

Currently working on a modular spartan-6 design (pcb and fpga design in the past) with pluggable cards.  Hoping to have a standalone solution that will fit in a mini-itx form factors.

Looking forward to chatting and developing more!

Chris
