It appears that there are lots of "scammers" that comment on introductions here. Please don't judge me by the company I keep.

Another newbie learning the ropes; I have done a little mining (around 0.5 BTC so far in "slush's" mining pool) and been visiting various free bitcoin faucets (nothing quite the equivalent of common Paid to Click websites so far but I'm sure faucet operators will get there eventually) for the past few weeks.
I am on a variety of web forums under various user names; which I will on some demonstrate to other people that Bitcoins do have value as a currency, once I come across enough to purchase an ounce of Silver (thereby also demonstrating money as opposed to fiat, hence my choice of username).

Anyway, off to find a few 'free bitcoin' threads and see how deep the Bitcoin rabbit hole goes.  Cool

Tips? Reply/PM or send coins to:

Hello folks!

My name is Katrina Elisse Caudle and I’m a writer and artist living in Canada. I’m 26 & I work as an event-organizer. In the past, I’ve worked as an organizer for social justice events, bookseller, and as an art model. I really like games and shows.

I stumbled upon Bitcoin pretty accidentally. I read an article on Autostraddle about it, thought it was nifty, & then forgot about it. Then, I went on vacation and the folks that I'm staying with introduced me to Bitcoin and I've been reading up on it heavily the past 2 days. It's pretty awesome! If I'm really lucky, we're going to go to a cafe that accepts bitcoins before I leave. Cheesy

Very nice to meet all of you! Smiley

Hi. I met a miner by chance at a party and he got me really interested in BitCoins. I have a background in tech/math and I spent pretty much all of my time awake yesterday reading up on this interesting currency. This seems like an interesting place to hang out at.

Hi, I'm thejestre.

I've known about Bitcoin since you could buy 50 for $20 USD.  I use to think "that would be a better investment than a lotto ticket..."  Too bad I didn't pull the trigger!

I learned my lesson that time though and bout a few hundred dollars worth right before the reward halved, and basically doubled my money.

What got me interested in mining was the FPGA miners, so I just waited until the ASICs.  I'm one of the last orders in Avalon's batch #2, and ordered a Jalapeno from BFL DEC 2012, so we'll see which gets here first Wink.  I want to mine my own because the ISP I rent VPS' from accepts BTC as payment, so it just makes business sense now.

I run a small-time web hosting company [basically for fun, selling to friends and acquaintances], am a tech support and programmer as an consultant,  and work full time in IT.  I like to keep busy.

Hello everyone! I'm Sarchar.

I signed up because I wanted to put out an idea I had, not specifically related to Bitcoin but definitely inspired by it.

I'll start a new thread here in Newbies since I'm restricted on the other boards, but once my account is whitelisted I'll move the RFC on the project idea to Project Development.

Hi

Came here from BTCjam. I go by the same username there. I just dabble in investing for fun at the moment. Lost out to a few scammers already
