Yo, I am AnAvocado and I'm fairly new to the bitcoin game, but I have high hopes and intend on making a profit. I already have an investor to help pay for the hardware and with the amount of research I've done, I'm sure I can make a sizable profit.

Hi.
I'm an out of work physicist going by the name of whizz94
I'm new to bitcoin and am testing computer hardware.
Solar panels here are generating more than 1kW surplus, so bitcoin mining might present a way to monetise this, as the electricity company don't really pay for what my generating surplus is worth.
This morning I've mined 10^-3 bitcoins on hardware which cost £50 more than I would have otherwise spent.
Perhaps I need a plan C.

Hi all,

After "just mining" for about two years, I recently became interested in the "technology" (actually, the algorithm and protocol) that Bitcoin is built on, and decided that it's about time to take a look behind the scenes. I'm primarily interested in the computational aspects of the Bitcoin algorithm, as far as they are relevant for hardware accelerated mining.

I hope to find valuable information here and have interesting discussions.

Hi all!

hello!  what brings you here?   Wink

I rely like the latest progress of bitcoin and in general I am not that found of the current monetary system. I think that work should not be taxed. Instead, the commodities should be taxed and interest on money completely abolished.

Right now my biggest interest is the new ASICS, and I'm trying to arrange financing for a couple of Avalon if they go on sale again.

I am also interested in Solar power and algorithms for statistical analysis and predictions with R. An important question is whether it is possible that in some clever and economical way mine bitcoins with a method other than pure computing power.

Hi.  I'm going by the name of Whizz94 and have got my first bitcoin miner going.
I'm interested in electrical engineering and solar power.

My house presently has a generating surplus of more than 2kW in the daytime.
Would it make sense to convert some of that into bitcoin?

I'm Sander, from the Netherlands. I'm a biochemistry student looking for interesting usefull research projects into medicine stuff, nothing to do with Bitcoin, BTC more of a side-thing.
Have been hitting myself over the head because I wanted to buy bitcoins last year but forgot about it. If I did I wouldn't have had as much financial worries as I do now Wink Started out with Bitcoin and Litecoin yesterday, looking into ways to get it going. I was thinking about doing a little mining, but my GPU isn't very 'high end' anymore and an ASIC is out of my reach for the moment.
Ah well, time to start small and end big I guess.

Here's an adress, might as well put it here Wink : 18UeFjCfeqm5US7djU7ETBGGwdKnFwbVdn

Looking forward to have a chat with you guys.

Hello,

Made a bit of money with bitcoins just through blind luck (almost)....I've been imagining what could happen if I actually knew what I was doing.

Like I said, Hello.
