I am an amateur economist and a professional IT wiener.

This concept and implementation of the BitCoin architecture interests me in both avenues.  I have been reading the posts and papers on deflation of the BitCoin currency over time and really wonder about the total pool of currency and its effect on this over time.

Hopefully I can contribute to this discussion over time....

Introducing myself to try to get around the required limit of minimum number of messages before being allowed to post to other forums. I have a minor fix and some observations about the cgminer program. While in principle I understand the motivations for wanting to restrict posts, it is annoying.  Embarrassed

Started with my gaming rig that did 100 hash.  Building a dedicated rig that will do ~ 600 and then working on outfitting my gaming computer with a card that will do ~400.  Here we go bitmining...
