Long time lurker, first time poster.

Feels a bit like a radio show - long time listener, first time caller.

Like most, wish I had stumbled upon bitcoins when I could have had about 1000 for $10 or so.

Yeah, me too. Just started mining this month, wish I had heard about this sooner. Have had my HD5970 just sitting in my computer since 2009, what a waste  Embarrassed

I have always been a tech fan and since the start of the crisis I have been fascinated with economics (well long long ago I thought about studying economics too but luckily I never did, else I would never have been able to understand economics), ever since then I have been following Peter Schiff because he was one of the few people to have predicted the crisis and the consequences.

A few weeks ago on a tech blog a read about the theft of someones bitcoin wallet but didn't really understand the bitcoin concept, then last week I heard the interview of one the the guys behind bitcoin with Peter Schiff and for the first time I had to disagree with him, I think he really doesn't grasp the technological concept behind bitcoin, well I don't understand the technical concepts either but I understand it works and nothing can make it stop working or tamper with the system.

I think bitcoin could be the biggest thing since the invention of money and could finally free us from fractional reserve banking

Too bad I didn't hear about this earlier though  Sad
