it is possible to recover the password from the own wallet (.db3 file) at the new neo-gui?
If you lost the password of you wallet; I think that you can't recover it but if have the private key of your address, you can import it in a new wallet. I can not believe my password is wrong. Two days ago it still worked. Maybe it is an issue on the new neo-gui?

Can someone clarify whether if I buy NEO will I be earning Antcoins from day one or I will have to wait for network to start charging fees and grow before any earnings are earned? Is there any other value in NEO apart from generating Antcoins which will be used as gas on the Network? Perhaps it's more profitable to buy antcoins?

Right now using the very temperamental web wallet and went to change it to the faster desktop wallet but iv messed up somewhere and will need to uninstall the wallet and start again, might take me a while since I cant the program in reg edit or in add or remove programs.
So was wondering if anyone knows how I cant uninstall the desktop wallet on windows 10 and why it does not appear in regedit?
Also was wanting to buy more NEO shares and was wondering it it was safe to send to the web wallet that is currently not synced? Want to buy tonight or tomorow and might not have time to sort out the desktop wallet before I need to start working so may need to store it on the web wallet as a tempory measure.

The wallet does not have an official install, so there is no official uninstall either. You just delete the NEO GUI folder and get a new copy of it from the website if your current one does not work properly. Make sure you get the bootstrapfile to speed up the synchronization process or copy the Core folder of your current NEO GUI folder if the synchronization process already was far along. Before you actually intend to transfer funds to your wallet, make sure you have a made a copy of the .db3 file and stored it on an external storage device and make sure you copy the private keys on paper and store them in a safe space. The web wallet is less optimal than the Windows wallet from what I understand, so if you have a choice stick with the Windows wallet. Alternatively you can buy at the Binance exchange and temporarily keep them there if you would trust that. Binance charges no transaction fees currently and it pays the generated GAS to its NEO holders unlike Bittrex which keeps all GAS/ANC for itself. If you send funds to any wallet that is not fully synchronized, then the funds will not show up in that wallet until it is synchronized. You can however use one of the NEO blockchain explorers to check whether your funds have arrived such as this one: https://neotracker.io/-------------------------------------------- I can't withdraw my ANS from bittrex, the wallet is in "Automated Maintenance". What does it mean? That almost certainly pertains specifically to Bittrex. Just try a short while later again and it will probably be resolved.

I would never just listen to advice from random strangers if I were you. If you ask for that kind of advice at Wall Street, they will take your money and leave you with nothing....the cryptomarket can also be like that...especially for the smaller ones out there. It is thus best to always do your own research. That way you do not have to be confident about your investment, because someone else says so, but because you personally researched it. I would however recommend holding long term instead of day trading.....that should be easier and safer.....especially when you are new. What you need to ask yourself of any cryptocurrency you buy is whether you are confident that it has competitive advantages that set it apart from the competition and if those advantages are worth it at a given price. I know this is not the advice you were looking for, but this kind of advice is more useful in the long run. In any market where a lot of money circulates, there are also people with ulterior motives. Some are even paid by others to spread certain news and they might even operate in groups to increase their credibility. The cryptocurrency market might not have a lot of that yet as it is a relatively new market, but as parties from Wall Street will perceive the potential, you probably will see more and more of that in these kinds of markets. So always be careful and if you do decide to listen to other individuals, make sure you check them out as good as you can. To be a truly good investor, you need to know all about all facets of business, but also all about power and more specifically how certain groups can take advantage of others and what those others can do to prevent that. Take for example the recent rumour about Ethereum that Vitalik Buterin was dead....this is an example of an individual who sought to damage the price of Ethereum and did so successfully.

Currently the wallet im using is not syncing full stop it seems. Is it a bad idea to send funds there with the assumption it will eventually snyc? Am I better just keeping the coins on an exchange untill I sort the other faster wallet out?
