+950 on the mem is not stable in the long run.Too much oc.
You are not right, samsung gddr5 with voltage bump on palit cards can handle 2400mhz (9600 effective) easily.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 6GB WindForce:
  • lbry @ 201 MH/s with 85% power limit / +230 Mhz core / -502 Mhz memory
  • neoscrypt @ 810 kH/s with 105% power limit / +185 Mhz core / +795 Mhz memory (can go even more since it's Samsung memory)
  • dagger hashimoto @ 23 MH/s but I can't remember the settings 100% accurately

200MH is good for a card that cost half of the 1070, but what about consumption?

ah your is the 6gb version, not exactly half of the 1070, would be nice to have the 3gb version hash power

Yes, it's the 6GB version.
I've set 85% power limit to stay near 100W and I'm pulling a constant 200 - 201 MH/s.

yeah i was expecting less to be honest surely under 100, on the other hand a 1060 costs almost half of a 1070, not the 6gb though

I have a GTX 1060 6GB, I'm getting 560 h/s MAX (any more and I get ye old CPU does not validate) I have some more details about my rig in this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1739438.new#new - I think there's some sort of far away hidden setting I must've enabled that just made my GPU about 100x weaker (though it runs games amazingly, so I don't understand why mining is so bad?) If someone could tell me exactly how I managed to mess up so badly that I get 500 h/s on a card that's supposed to get 1+ megahash per second, it would be greatly appreciated.

where did you see one GTX 1060 will do 1+ megahash Oo in either XMR or Zcash that's just not possible

Up above the world so high, miners with the same graphics card getting well over 1MH/s - I've only tried a few algorithms so far, mainly Scrypt and Cryptonight, and a few others my minors supported and I got roughly the same Kh/s every time - I'll try out Ethereum and see if I get anywhere close to a megahash, but it would be pretty sucky to get 30 Megahashes in one currency, and 550 kh/s in another, and sounds almost impossible without interfering with your PC's resources?

Edit: Just started mining Ethereum and I understand what you meant by they're different, I haven't done any config changes (yet) but I'm getting roughly 18 MH/s

So now that we've got that cleared - carrying on with this threads base theme, what are your hashrates when mining Scrypt / Cryptonight?

I won´t recommend the GTX-1060 with 3 GB because they have less cuda-cores, a lower bandwidth memory interface and usually lower base/boost-clocks.

I have build a small rig with 2 GTX-1060-6:

no case yet (gonna choose a cheap ATX Midtower with at least 3 120mm intake (!) fans)
460W PSU
ASRock B150M mainboard (space between the two PCI-E ist important)
2 x DDR4 4GB
120GB SSD
2 x KFA2 (Galaxy) GTX-1060-6 OC (non EX)

Win7_64
NHM v1.7.5.12

trimmed down to 230W from wall (= 1.44 EUR/day at 0.26 EUR/KWh)

... should ROI rel. fast even at my high power costs

 Grin

... please make an educated guess !

Hi @antiycda,

third thread here with your probs ?

Nobody can help, if you don´t give full information.

What are your other GPUs?

What miner do you use ?

xD

P.S. I won´t mix NVidia and AMD in one RIG, I even tend not 2 mix any different cards (no matter what - but all the same pls.)

... please make an educated guess !

I got ASUS DUAL 6GB cards so far I have tested lbry, eth, zec and skein, for most algos 55-60% power limit seems to be the place for highest efficiency, the cards have 120w TDP. I'm at work and writing results off the top of my head, might not be fully accurate. I found skein to be most profitable at this moment.

ETH 24 mh/s with memory at +1000 mhz(9600 mhz, claymore)
ZEC 300 sol/s 75% power limit, +260 core/400 memory(EWBF)
DGB-skein - 350mh/s - 65% power limit, +260 core, -500 memory(alexis78 ccminer)
LBC 190 mh/s 60% power limit, +260 core, -500 memory(ccminer 2.0 tpruvot)

@PanneKopp actually my 1060-3 mine faster than yours 1060-6 Smiley
It takes 305W from the wall (with more powerful CPU), but eletricicty cost only 0.10$/kWh, so I don't care about trimming down power consumption that much.

I have 2 Galax 1060 6GB. It seems to me that when mining ETH overclocking the core is a waste of energy. If I set the memory to +750, it doesn't matter whether I have to core set to +75 or -250, I get the same hash rate of 22-23.

Crypto currency enthusiast and miner since 2015. Mined approx 200 ETH during 2016 and 2017 and sold it at approximately $US40 each. Then I watched it reach $1000+ each. If anyone bothers to read this stuff pay attention to this: HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL

I started mining with 1 AMD 7950 and 1 R9-280X. Then I gradually built my AMD operation into 12 R9-290s. Awesome ETH hash but ridiculous power consumption and heat. Over the last year I defected to the Nvidia team. I now use GTX 1070s. They were expensive to buy (probably a bargain now) but awesome hash rate vs. power consumption. blah blah blah blah
