What is the screening that needs to take place when recruiting funds managers?

How is the debit card going to operate? Is this do people can spend their holdings directly from their investments, will you be partnering with visa/MasterCard etc.

Are there payment gateways already in place?

Those numbers look gr8, but I can see that investment from Europe is 15x more then from USA (over 1M euros vs 72K $)
I know that ICO team is based in europe and that is where the major funds will come, but USA is big and more resources and funds can ve secured from that continent

Maybe some USA branch office should be open in near future to address them directly?

Indeed, for FIAT. But EUR+USD sums up for about USD 1.2M, which is barely a quarter of the funds so far.
Who knows if the crypto raised aren't coming from the US ?
This being said, I agree with you if we consider the whole point of the project is about getting FIAT in crypto world.

Fund Management Platform is not about daily trading. As a name states it is for Fund Management.

- u'll be able to buy/sell on platform
- to start with will be without, but later on more options will be provided. first to selected fews, then to all.

- it will start as light and then progress accordingly to needs

For the very first Fund managers we'll start with a small controlled group of people, observe and learn from them. Once we're beyond that point we'll know more of what screening or what other techniques are needed in order to prevent abuses. For example, there might be a rule that certain % of managed fund must be invested by Fund manager itself in order to decrease manipulation chances.

Debit card will be done in cooperation with Visa. All your assets parked at ICONOMI will be 24/7 instantly available via that card (besides selling assets on website).

As an example: let's say you own certain amount of ICONOMI.index fund and you wanna book your flight ticket. You simple pay with ICONOMI card and for the amount requested we'll sell proportionate amount of your invested fund. Simple, straightforward, real time and available 24/7. Additionally there will be iPhone/Android app in which you will be able to monitor your spendings, set your limits etc. Kind of like Number26 if you know them.

Payment gateways? In that case, all VISA POS and VISA supported ATMs.
