Hi, my account should be a few months old, but I've never had the need to post, so I've never really been logged in much.
I'm trying to run https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167229.0, but it's crashing on startup and I'm unable to post in that thread, thanks.

Hello,
I have been following BTC and LTC since 2010 and have been lurking the forms just as long.I also frequent www.btc-e.com with the same user name. I have mined LTC and I have vast IT knowledge and can offer help to members and also gain more knowledge from others.

Thank you
Chris

Hey there. I've been a long time bitcoiner, even a longer time lurker, and I'm finally ready to hash out of the newbie area at top speeds and to participate in the community. It's exciting to see where crypto is going, and there will be much more development than what we have right now. Our future is bright Smiley

I wanna be whitelisted because I have spent most of my free time in the last 2 days scouring the internet learning about cryptocurrencies and deciding to get a litecoin miner to work referencing here only briefly. I didn't post for help like some newb but looked in this forum and offsite guides to solve the problems and it finally paid off in a working miner! (proof: http://imgur.com/XPSi7RA) so can I be free from newbland?

TBH I found it easier to just get 5 posts out in this sub-forum Tongue (still posting)

They should crank this up and starting asking BTC to bypass noob restrictions... (been running a miner for a couple of days now, only bothered to register now) And to be honest, once you start posting... there is no need to ask for a restriction lift... as you'll hit enough posts soon enough, and you are actually helping people out in the process (or that has at least been my experience so far.))

I did a request ages ago but it didn't get approved.
Now I'm back and I need to be whitelisted so I can put a few domains up for sale in the market->digital goods.

Hello, please let me out of here! Check out my other post in the "introduce yourself"

I can't get my password on MTRed, I have coins there, and they won't respond to my emails.

I've been mining a couple months already. DiabloD3 taught me a lot via PM, I didn't even realize he was the author of the software I've been using  Grin Really cool guy

Be 4 hours online under your forum account and you should automatically be promoted. The only way I see this happening faster if your buddy DiabloD3 has mod buddies who can promote you more quickly. This thread seems kinda dead from mod's perspective, and tbh I think its only there to keep the idiots happy who are like... I need to get out of here... Unfortunately it does hinder the 1% of people who are actually do their research and only register when they have an issue and need to ask something after digging through google/forums for hours... Sad As for myself... I'm just accepting the 4 hour + 5 posts thingy, as I know it will keep 80% of the noobs out, while legit users can usually bring up the effort to get in.

Yeah this forum is so silly that newcomers is by far the busiest portion of the site.

What it says to me is they are leaving the door wide open for a competing forum to grow without such draconian rules.

Hello,

I've been an on and off user of bitcointalk for around a year now, but since I was only learning and reading, I never felt the urge to create an account, as the things I could contribute with was kind of noobish (just-a-google-search-away kind of things).
However now I have a particular question that I want to ask in a thread (a request for renewal of a currently dead download link).
I have plenty of knowledge about bitcoin and other alt coins, such as the number of blocks between difficulty change (2016 blocks) and the year when all initial blocks are mined and afterwards only transaction fees will provide profit for miners (year 2140) just to name a few.
I've been looking much into the ASIC mining as well as tried to figure out the reason for the recent rise in Bitcoin price (BTC/USD).
If at any point you don't trust that I should be allowed on the forum, well, then this post counts as one of the 5, and I don't take it that hard.

Best regards, callmeboris

Be my guest...

And no, they are just making sure that the same questions that get asked over and over again every day, stay in the same sub-forum instead of cluttering all over the forums, giving moderators a headache you don't wanna know...

I actually like sitting here now behind my computer, reading and posting a bit, just waiting to get released from this place... realizing that most idiots I don't want to talk too, will not be able to bring up the patience to wait the 4 hours. And at the same time, I'm learning a lot more about bitcoin, reading a lot of stuff in the forums, helping other newbies who don't know a or b. And at the end of the line I'm having fun in the community.

Hi Boris,

TBH... been here a couple hours now... haven't seen anybody get released... so I guess your best bet, is to sit out the 4 hours and get the 5 posts (with your knowledge, gonna be NP) as it will most likely be the quickest way out of here. (have gone from 1 to 5 threads currently open I wanna post too.. but no access yet Tongue)
