I created my account a couple of hours ago but it still shows Total time logged in: 26 minutes. I've left the browser window open, but I haven't been actively clicking around the site for the entire time. How is the logged in time actually calculated?
It seems to only count time when you have recently been active.

So, the only way to get posts is to post ITT?

Actually, you have to make 5 posts anywhere and have accrued 4 hours of online time. I can't tell you how frustrating it was trying to figure out why I couldn't post anywhere even though I was logged in. :/

Seems fair enough. This is one of the most active forums I've seen in a while so I suppose you guys have to do something to weed out the trolls.

These rules need to be better displayed. When I first signed up I was reluctand to find that I couldn't post a response to a support thread in which I had the same issue. It wasn't until just recently that I was able to lo ate the rules on permissions. I initially assumed that I couldn't reply due to a permissions error.

I don't really think it makes sense that I have to post about nothing to prove that I'm ready to make worthwhile posts and not troll.

Everybody starts at the bottom, I don't really see the problem with waiting a bit, this need for instant gratification predisposes one to all manner of headaches.......

I see the logic in the restrictions, plus, this gives me a little time to try and synch with like minds.

Due to a mass of trolling, only established posters are able to post in non-newbie sections. You are considered "established" if you have spent 4 hours online and have made 5 posts (new topics or replies). If you have really good posts, you can post a request for preemptive whitelisting in the appropriate topic. Also: - Newbies cannot upload their own avatars. - You must have made one post in order to send PMs. - You need 10 posts to put a link in your signature. Note that it may take up to 10 minutes for your PM or posting permissions to be granted. (The system automatically checks every 10 minutes and promotes people as appropriate.) so this is my last reply! there're interesting posts but I want to reply to one only, so I'll wait to the 4 hours web browsing!
