is anyone using a R9 290 non-x and R9 290x together?
What is the difference in hasing power between them at roughly same GPU and mem clocks?
Thanxx.

The 290X should be about 10% faster than the 290. For the Claymore V8, the Core number makes a difference.

saw this posted on the zcash forum. anyone know if the 1000 h/s per card screenshot  is legit?

link to source: https://forum.z.cash/t/hey-guys-who-can-tell-me-what-this-is-single-card-speed-is-reached-1132h-s/9746

We need POV proof of video. Everything else can be drawn.

The 290X speed is 280 while the 290 speed is 264. So that is about 6% differece. If the frequency is the same, that is still some increase.

I bought them used for a test rig. The 290s are notorious for being loud and hot.

So -fanmax 99 is better than an overheated GPU, you can always replace fans....

I have seven 280x, I take down the originals fans and put on fans that I buy on the web, I think the price was about 1.3 eur for one fan, I put 3 fans per card. Supply for that fans I take directly 12V so they are always on 100%. When they starts slowing down, I just take some silicon oil in spray and they run like new. Beacuse they always run on 100%, my cards run cooler.

Guys! I just built a pair of new miners and both of them have 1 gpu hashing at 1/4 of its regular speed. Anyone knows the reason or how to solve that problem?

Hi All,

I've just created a page where one can share your experiance with your graphical card in order to have a benchmark.

http://cryptolex.ch/gpu-mining-hardware-for-z-cash-comparison/?lang=en

Of corse I'm using Claymore since beginning and v8 works perfectly ! Thanks claymore for your job and effort Smiley ... waiting for version 9 ... 10 ...

You should also include a power usage field - - for instance - "Watts at the wall". This is 50% or more the decision factor for buying GPU's when miners have to pay for the electricity to power their rigs. Not just Hashing power.

Other considerations - Overclocking fields and memory timing straps field - etc

Just my 2 cents

Hi Simon, Thanks for your input, I've added Watt column and a (H/s)/W column in order to know efficiency, i should also add price but it depends to much from a country to another.
As this is manual processing there is no one field for each column (Wordpress Form Maker limitation). So I'll put all data's into right column manually.

I don't believe an RX 480 uses 110W at the wall @ 1280 MHz Core, that's bull. Power usage field is pretty much useless without screenshots of where it is measured.
