I'm having some weird issues with latest versions - the application occasionally crashes in Win10. While running 12.2 it hashes at the same rate and doesn't crash...
The rig is a mixed bunch of 4*470 and a single 370(in slot)

so I figured mine out, posting up to possibly help others

Near as I can tell that config file does fuck all, doesn't matter what you put in it or not.  Anything you DO put in it will just scroll past in red as an "unknown option" at launch.

What you DO need to modify, and doesn't seem to be in any of the tutorials, is the "epools" file.

uncomment the line for your pool of choice and fill in your personal bits (login.worker and password) and BANG  (don't forget to create your worker at the pool first)

then open all your windows and doors because it's going to get hot in your room.

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable.
Censorship of e-gold was easy. Censorship of Bitcoin will be… entertaining.

For Fiji, it is better to use 16.3.2.

But now think of making them a little bit colder and quiter.

Could you plz point me for some manual of doing this ( i think undervolting or somethig)  ?

Best Regards.

Any advice please ?

My 280x are doing ~330-335 sol/s (Claymore v12.5), temp. is about 60-65C, fans at 40-45%, undervolted a little bit from 1.256 to 1.15, drawing from the wall aprox. 220W per card. You can undervolt your 280x more, but I don't care about electricity bills too much, so 220w is ok for me.
To undervolt my 280x I have used VBE and ATIFlash, just google it, there are a lot of articales about downvolting.

as far as I'm aware he hasn't added Nvidia support yet, so I'm using ewbf's miner for my gtx 1070 and 1080, not yet aware of any better.

Hello guys.

I am new to crypto mining.

Some time after start up of miner (usually after 3 to 7 shares have been received), I get the following error: "WATCHDOG: GPU 0 hangs in OpenCL call, exit"

I have never seen the GPU temp. go over 76deg.C and fan power is around 55%, however, just before the error GPU temp. and fan speed goes down considerably indicating a long lasting stall.

I have tried both versions 12.6 and 12.5 of the miner with the same result.

The initialization parameters are as follows:

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

ZecMiner64.exe -zpool ssl://zec-eu1.nanopool.org:6633 -zwal xx.yy/mm@mm -zpsw z -ftime 2

The hardware is ATI RADEON R9 380 with 4 GB of memory running on Crimson 17.1.1 .

Any insight would be appreciated.

Regards,

it is impossible, claymore's Zcash miner do not support nVidia cards Sad
You should use EWBF miner for ZCL or ZEC.

Anybody ever had any luck getting old Cayman (6950, 6970) cards to work with this?

I tried under Ubuntu 16.04 and ran into an OpenCL wall, the AMD drivers only work up to 14.04 and the open source drivers don't support the older cards.

I tried under Win7 and the cards got hot, but just returned incorrect data to the pool.

Check your computer for viruses and malwarebytes. Someone is likely to use your computer for mining.

For most 280X, you can just use the MSI afterburner to undervolt.
