Is there key to stop cudaminer/ccminer? Asking because killing window of the program doesn't seem to work flawlessly every time Last night I start/stopped several times and PC started working erratically - altho no miner was working the card (750Ti) was working in 3D mode and I had to restart.
CTRL+C Thats for interrupting console program... funny that it works same way since gloriuos DOS or even cp/m and apple][ days. That is not signal to the program to end its work gracefully.

sooo, who's up for doing some profit calculations for us? groestl is now no longer profitable after the huge amount of people that jumped onto it when the price shot up. right now with 3 750Ti's, and a power usage of only 155W for the entire system, daily profit is £0.08 or $0.12 sooo, profit calcs anyone? wait for the release of the next ccminer, it will triple groestl hash rate on 750 Ti's.... Also it will likely have good Quark and X11 speeds (way above that of AMD) Christian Just an idea what to add (when you have time!) - option to run 2/3/4 number of threads with same algo/setup, kinda sgminer -g option. It seems that indeed 2 instances of ccminer run with higher average load & speed

And then X13 appears! A mash between X11 and EMC2 from their descriptions. Any interest in adding that next? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=570744.0

I went to an EMC2 coin yesterday and on their front page it says scrypt ? regarding Marucoin, although I don't mine it, this is certainly the first cpu coin without instamine so it might get somewhere

I re-read their description and yeah it's X11 + hamsi + fugue. The EMC2 part is just the stratum adjusted to donate 2.5% to "a community decided wildlife fund".
sph-sgminer already works for it for AMD cards.

christian maybe you can help me understand something i am finding in visual studio, i created a basic nvml program which lists the names of the devices attached to the system. i also managed to get nvml.dll
now when i debug the program it compiles and runs, when i tell it to release it throws a fit and throws up a load of unresolved external symbols. any idea why it might be doing that?

the project solution has different linkage setting depending on whether it's in Debug or Release mode. You need to make sure also the Release mode settings indicate linkage to nvml.lib

i will pretend i know how to do that either way debug creates an exe i can use i am only looking to see how it works so i can mess with putting it into ccminer although i hear you took the fun out of it and put it in already

sooo, profit calcs anyone?
Microcoin is being pumped quite heavily atm, although how long it lasts / how high it will go is anyone's guess (in other words YMMV). But at current difficulty and price (0.3 Satoshi), my 2 x 750ti should generate £1.30 per day each (before power costs). The next closest of the coins I monitor is YAC at £0.69 per day per card. MRC could easily double from where it is now though (of course it could equally easily collapse back down to 1 Satoshi or less). If you want to delve into your own spreadsheet, Jarred Walton gave the details of how to calculate coins per day for any coin on his (IMO) excellent blog: http://www.holynerdvana.com/2014/02/how-to-calculate-coins-per-day-for-any.htmlHe also offers a subscription service where he does basically all the hard work for you and lists the profitability of several coins a few times a week: http://www.holynerdvana.com/2014/03/subscription-instructions.html

I guess everybody already know... some guy posted at least 3 or 4 threads on that actually, there is no point in getting excited at the moment. Alcurex haven't started yet, the block reward is still rather high. (if someone wants to get out of it, it is certainly the best time... otherwise it is better to wait)

I'm guessing you're going to use it for other purposes as well, because otherwise you could do with a smaller size HDD. And might I suggest a SSD for the OS and other start-up programs? It speeds up start-up times tremendously, and an SSD has a lower power usage.

I might sound like a douchebag who posts only when he wants to ask something but I have been following the thread daily. Everything discussed here is beyond my equipment (a 660ti) and knowledge that I dont have anything to add but just absorb. Please help me and bear with my ignorance thanks bigjme and DemosMirak @demosmirak Yeah I guess i forgot the ssd may be a 256GB for all kinds of blockchains. This will be my first and only rig for now so I need 1TB for that.
