Who's denying fpga x11 mining now?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=635959.0

Say byebye to x11 gpu mining, and probably x13 in short time if not already...

and why? 750ti can still compete easily with those fpga, it's not like they are hashing at 1 giga per board or something

are you sure for the price, I tried to look at fpga pci-e board that was in the 500-600$ (not programmed), basically same perf and price tag as a high end nvidia card (will the re-sell value of a piece of pcb)

never found it interesting in the first place  Grin
And I still don't believe it is the reason for the high hash-rate, it is certainly linked more to the rig renting services.
That would also explain, why people are not dumping like crazy since they have to make a profit on top of what they pay to rent
(losses are more obvious than looking a month later to the electricity bill...)

thought he was speaking about a fpga using verilog (or else).
Actually the code for the individual algo already exist (someone posted a link to that last week)

I don't think the complete X11 will be open source  Grin

But ... how?!
Unless you got very very lucky to hit jackpot... yesterday my calculations suggested ~ 0.01 for 3 750Ti :S

Just re-checked - 0.00106 per 3x750Ti at current diff/price

You could do about 0.00514166 on SRC mining Quark algo with the same rig.

still learning what is SRC please  thank you
