As many of you know, we are sold out of Avalon 741 for all of 2017. The inventory we have has been allocated to existing and new accounts. I do hold a small reserve for December, but only enough to start a few select new customers. I also have some 741 product in January that I have to allocate. We are currently in the process of ramping up a distribution channel for smaller customers: I have added their names here:

disty@canaan.io. Distributors are responsible for serving customers who cannot meet our Minimum Order Quantity, which is currently set at 60 units.
While we have been going over our backlog, I took the time to revamp the order process in the store and automate some of the shipping process. We will be testing this over the next month. I've also changed the ticket system so that sales requests will not clutter it up. We reserve the ticket system for customer RMA issues and technical issues. On every product page you will also see a form for "Enquiry". My goal is to keep sales related questions out of the ticket system. So please use that or
sales@canaan.io to ask sales related questions.
I added some special emails for customers that relate to specific issues: If you have a question about distribution there is a
disty@canaan.io address. If you have a question about shipping:
shipping@canaan.io. We hope this keeps conversations out of the ticket system, so that only tech support related issues are handled there. I've also hired two new sales associates so that we can handle a higher number of orders and will be adding staff in shipping and tech support.

https://canaan.io/order-process/ The flood of orders we got in Sept and August quickly exposed weakness in the system, so I've spent the last few weeks implementing a system that will be easier for the customer and easier for the new staff. You should receive mails at every stage of the order process, telling you exactly where you are in the process. We will be testing this during November.
New Product: In 2018 we plan to have a new product, based on new silicon. Many of you have asked for specifications and pricing and exact shipdates. My policy is to wait until our reliability testing is complete before releasing any details, if you need some performance numbers to do a forecast, just use 14 Terahash and 1300 Watts. Please note, this is not the official specification, but you can use it for planning. I will update you later and take revised forecasts at that time.
The forecast: I am asking you to forecast your demand for the next 4 months, starting in December. Do not make the mistake of thinking that a request for a December forecast means that the new product will ship then. The same goes for the other months. Also, don't make the mistake of over forecasting, as your allocation will be a function of your forecast reliability. If you forecast 1000 and only order 60, your numerical score will drop and decrease your future allocation.
Finally, this forecast is for your MINING only. Some of you operate businesses where you Resell (Physically Ship to customers). That forecast is different from this one. I have already contacted distributors for their forecast. This forecast is for Mining operations ONLY.
Finally, if you are on the waiting list, please do a forecast as the waitlist does not cover your demand into 2018.
