I use to be able to sell people on grabbing these direct from Canaan easy, 5 day to your door after payment, direct from the manufacturer, amazing warranty, support response and stability, all new stock, with all parts properly working and no surprises. Since they have stopped, I haven't been able to convince anyone to turn away from other miner brands, and that's sad to me Now, it's a higher price and still payment up front, unstable shipping times, with some being quite delayed unexpectedly, random quality of miners, bad boards on arrival, weeks or months for support response, no direct manufacturer ordering, some issues with non miner parts such as the auc and controller. However they have still stuck to their warranty way better so I will give them that still, but logically I don't see the benefit at the price and shipping delay.

What are the temps on both setups? I know you will run hotter on +1 but how much hotter I would like to know. Thanks

What is the Wat usage with voltage offset +1. Would 2400W Delta PSU running 2 741's handle it?

Sorry for the dumb question, but whats the difference between GHSasc and GHSav. I assume the latter stands for GH?S average?

anybody with experience in changing a hashboard? I think that I need to apply some greese between the hashboard and the heatsinks. what about http://www.arcticsilver.com/as5.htm. is it ok ? I'm a little bit worried about the cycles needed for optimal use. quoting from their website: Important Reminder: Due to the unique shape and sizes of the particles in Arctic Silver 5's conductive matrix, it will take a up to 200 hours and several thermal cycles to achieve maximum particle to particle thermal conduction and for the heatsink to CPU interface to reach maximum conductivity. (This period will be longer in a system without a fan on the heatsink or with a low speed fan on the heatsink.) On systems measuring actual internal core temperatures via the CPU's internal diode, the measured temperature will often drop 2C to 5C over this "break-in" period. This break-in will occur during the normal use of the computer as long as the computer is turned off from time to time and the interface is allowed to cool to room temperature. Once the break-in is complete, the computer can be left on if desired. Caution: We do not recommend using Arctic Silver 5 on the older slot type Intel Xeon processors with large multiple square inch CPU to heatsink interfaces. The huge contact area and large gaps between the processor and the heatsink require a thermal pad or thick mesh-reinforced paste. Arctic Silver 5 can be used on socket type Xeons without a problem. Thanks!

I have three 741s. All pulling about 1440 watts each. Maybe power supply? EVGA Supernova 1300W.

It is stable, averaging 8th per unit. This power supply was recommended by the distributor... specs on cannon website "≈ 1150W, +0% ~ +15% (with 93% PSU efficiency @ 25 C)" so 1322W max at 93% efficiency. My PSU is only 90% efficient. But still a little high. May try switching to 240V with this: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812120346

I keep my three at 30c or below. I'm not sure what the wattage is at the plug but it goes as high as 17amps.
What are you using to read the wattage?

Bitmain getting competition is good for the mining community despite what btc maximalists might say. Bitmain has had little to no competition for way too long.
