I was so late to read the announcement of the number hunt competition which is my favorite competition at YoloDice. So you have invested just bitcoin into the site or any other coins on there? It would be interesting to hear from a current investor who hasnt pulled out their initial investment yet.
How much would you consider a substantial amount to put as an investment into the site to see such a profit?
Because usually when competitions are concerned when they are run it seems the investors would get more when these are set in motion because of the higher amount of bets placed.

Using 0.15 ETH for a jackpot, then win with more than 12.3 ETH in total. It's a huge jackpot win, I agreed with you. Jackpot is one of the hardest games to win, so that guy was very lucky. The probability of winning the jackpot is 1 in 100,000 or less if you're lucky. Last week while I was trying to hit a low number for their number competition I was lucky enough to hit the jackpot after a few thousand bets in. I only used a small bet amount though, my priority was the competition but winning 1%(0.12eth during the time) of the jackpot is still not bad tbh.

It's because there's 40,000+ transactions waiting for a confirmation. Maybe their system assume the inputs are high or depends on the amount of unconfirmed transactions in the network. Later on it should go down but if you're in a hurry there's always the exchange solution, withdraw them in alts to save a couple of dollars in fees and convert it back to bitcoin on a different exchange where fees are cheaper.

It usually happens when bitcoin has spikes, people tend to try sending their bitcoins to exchanges to simply take profits, or moving them around to take profits and buy altcoins to maximize their profits with the market runs.
However, it will be stable again next week, at least one more week it might become more stable.
Personally, with such highly transactions waited for confirmations, I tend to switch to move my money around with other coins, Litecoin, Dogecoin, for example.

Sometimes the deposits or withdrawal takes a lot of time only because the bitcoin transactions are confirmed very late. Maybe this issue will be resolved with the introduction of bitcoin lightening network.

I'm quite sure his main purpose is not hunting the jackpot, he was betting normally to earn some eth. The jackpot was just a surprise bonus IMO. Betting for hunting jackpot only is not really recommended especially if the jackpot amount is not +EV for players.
