I guess what I am driving at, is how they define pre-orders? They sent me an e-mail stating my order.. Am I one of those 140?

Or are there just that many suckers ? thats bitcoin-24 inputs my order was sent to a cedartec owned address and then it went through an empty address (bitcoin-24 cedartec account address generated at each deposit) then went to bitcoin-24 internals. |

im 4 hours away from potentially sending them more bitcoins
should i?
they have gone further then both butterflylabs and avalon did in their first months.
manufacturing 65nm asic chips no longer costs millions, its a 8 year old process.
they plan on assembling 100 pcb a week
they currently have potentially enough for the mass production, i assume they have had additional investments before going public
only 2-3weeks until release, low cost for high hashrate
im buying with a friend, so the cost is negligible for such good potential returns
some of you have an interest in them not delivering, bfl clients, gpu miners or simply jelly
im currently locked in at 7.9btc

My opinion is this has scam written all over it. As horribly as bfl has performed, they still have a better track record than this company. I think you saw a shiny website and some smooth words and got blinded by dollar signs. I wouldn't send them a penny. As far as being jealous, check my sig... |

As far as being jealous, check my sig... not saying anyone is jelly, im saying people may potentially be negatively contributing intentionally due to reason of personal gain from such action. their website is not well made, im a web developer. the specs coincide with whats possible given 65nm process. they have been replying to my concerns in due time and have followed through partially to my demand. I say partially because the resulting images and video where quickly done without full regard of need to publish something that will not cast doubt. I requested they use eligius.st, they say they will get public livestats up. Altho i should wait for them to follow through with their promises, that would mean loosing my position tho. So given the risks(well aware) im thinking of going through with my second purchase. |

im not trying to get anyone to buy, unless ofcourse they need more pre-orders to mass produce.
at this point im not really sure, they did say the pre-order really is just to test the public and that the 1000 number is really just an upper limit. They mention further plans after the pre-orders and selling the left over units.
you know how jelly all those bfl customers will be if cedartec is not a scam?
its really in my interest that no else buy more units, theyd be diluting my profits.
at the same time i want them to succeed, its either they are a scam to begin with, or are a scam upon some failure or actually deliver. i loose if they are a scam and i loose if they fail.

btw, regarding the concerns for their domain
i have a theory as to why they are using an anonymized service and only one year for the domain registry.
they have mentioned that their webserver is run in their office
so the service they use really is just a proxy to their webserver
since they need the bitcoind service running this makes sense
ive also been bruteforcing the directorys on their webserver and can confirm its certainly not something from a host, its quite weak in handling lots of requests.
id imagine they would want to relocate and possibly change domain registrar in the near future once they are official.
