rig specs;
8 PNY GTX 1060 3 GB    MPN:   VCGGTX10603XGPB-OC-BB  XLR8 Edition
ASUS PRIME Z270-A LGA 1151
Windows 10
EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G3 powering five cards and the risers, motherboard and SSD
EVGA 850 BQ just powering three of the cards

settings on MSI afterburner With power  at 70%, core clock +46, memory clock +470 for all 8 cards individually set.

I have all 8 cards running for periods of time and then it stops mining correctly and says the devices stop working correctly and I get a code 77..

Last night, it ran for 10 hours and then that occurred. This morning and ran for  two hours and then it happened. Then it went for three hours and happened.

My sols go to 0 and it just keeps trying to restart. Any suggestions on how I can fix this..

I have preloaded drivers multiple times. Gone down to just two cards and run it all day. gradually added more cards.. With two power supplies,, and five cards of the first one, when I go to my six card it wipes out the MSI afterburner settings.  Basically, I keep trying different things.

I have another one of these rigs with the same exact specs except the cards are not the XLR8 edition..  It is running fine.

Hi all!

Updated my application to support System reboot if the miner is stopped.
Bug fixies.
You can set now e-mail sending frequency.

The link where you van get from:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B4Yvkc957FWKN3VMampBUy0ySEE?usp=sharing

I couldn't download the new version...but i've encountered a bug on your previous version.if i put the miner bat files and your monitor app in any folder other than 0.3.4.b Example: C:\Users\x\Desktop\ZEC it won't work even if it is C:\Users\x\Desktop\ZEC\0.3.4.b...it only works when it's C:\Users\x\Desktop\0.3.4.b ( when it's running correctly it opens as a separate command window behind the miner right?) also i can only run your app when i run miner bat files...can you do anything that it would run with the "Miner.EXE"? Miner.exe has a config file can't we integrate them?

This is a separate issue but can someone tell me how can i check on my address stats in Supernova.cc pool? should i enter my address inside my account in supernova.cc? i have given the miner the address but i just can't seem to be able to search for it in the https://zec.suprnova.cc/

Unrelated to EWBF, can I make default display to built-in gpu and only use pcie gpu for mining?
This is because sometimes when gpu crashed, the windows became extremely sluggish and I had to restart PC everytime.

Hello
I am running 6x1060 6GB mining rig.
when I use EWBF it runs sometimes for few hours then it crashes and freezes the PC, only hard reset can be done to restore the windows functionality.
I tried Excavator, it runs flawlessly but the SOL/S is less than the EWBF that's why I want to use EWBF..
I am not overclocking or undervolting anything, only using MSI AB to adjust the fan speeds to curve mode.

what am I missing here? does EWBF known to be unstable like this?
I am using latest 0.3.4B version and tried many nvidia drivers with same issue..
regards

I've got 1 month of ETH mining experience under my belt - Running Win 7 with 1070's/1050ti's -- Claymore 9.7. I manage close to 1.5GH/s at ethermine.org.

I've dabbled in dual mining w/Claymore (using suprnova pools) but would like to try switching one of my rigs to mine Zcash.

Is it as "simple" as what I've been doing already.... just install this miner and point it to suprnova?

Can anyone provide some examples of their text/bat files to configure the miner?

Any suggestions, hints, tricks, and/or tips would be most welcome!

THANKS

No takers?

Thanks  Smiley

Lower your overclock, it's probably unstable because of that.

It's not rocket science...this is for a 1080 ti with 225W power limit set

Code:
@echo off

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

"C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI\nvidia-smi.exe" -pl 225

:start
ECHO Starting EWBF ZEN mining....
"E:\mining\Zec Miner 0.3.4b\miner.exe" --pec --fee 0 --api 127.0.0.1:42000 --boff --server zdash.suprnova.cc --user POOLUSERNAME.WORKERNAME --pass x --port 4048 --eexit 1 --solver 0

rem Sleep for 5 seconds
rem ping -n 6 127.0.0.1 > nul
rem ***************************************

GOTO start

You can run it with just this in a .bat file if you wish to keep it simple for testing. --- "miner --server zdash.suprnova.cc --userusername.workername --pass x --port 4048" --- username, workername will have to be set up at suprnova, you can reuse an existing one if you have been mining there before. the server and port would be different depending on what you wish to mine, I mined Hush most recently there so that's what was in my .bat file already.

IT MAY WORK--

But most experienced miners recommend disabling your on-board graphics.  If you are running Windows and 1 to 3 GPUS for mining, it may be a good idea.    However, there are specialized mining Operating Systems ( (EthOS, SimpleMiningOS, PiMP, etc.) that would have problems dealing with the on-board GPU.  The listed Linux-based systems would likely malfunction or generate warning messages.

Regardless, it could work, and your system should not be damaged if you experimented.  If you install a fresh copy of Linux and set it up for mining, it may be best.  The systems I listed are highly modified for hardware detection and performance.  A clean Linux install would be just as good as Windows with a few cards.

I have a weird situation. I have a rig with four 1060's and two 1070's. When using 0.3.4b (are there two of these? The OP is confusing) I'm getting over 400 Sols on the one 1070, but the other 1070 starts at the same speed but quickly degrades to less than 200 Sols. The 1060's are running about 250 Sols each. I have the cards running at 65% power in MSI Afterburner to save electricity, so that's why they are running a bit slower than normal, but that doesn't explain the difference between the 1070 cards. They are identical models, and I've been using this same rig and setup to mine ETH/DCR with Claymore's miner for over a month, and the 1070 cards run equivalently there. Any ideas?

Yes I do this with all my Windows rigs and it works fine. Could depend on your motherboard though.
