Can somebody help me with GPU load trouble?

I have 8 x GTX1080 rig.

Miner shows anomaly with GPU1 performance. It can be some number in range 300-500 Sols/s and staying stable til next run of miner.
Meanwhile the Afretburner shows partial load of that GPU (in range 50-95%) that also stable til next run of miner.

What's wrong with my GPU or with miner and how to load it for 100% of power? Other GPUs working fine. Changing risers or PCI-e slots has no effect.

With ZEC, you don't have a 100% GPU load all the time, it consumes also less power. There is nothing wrong here.

13 GPU Nvidia Rig running under Ubuntu 16 (eth hash rate: 300+Mh/s @ 1000W for whole rig): 3x EVGA GTX 1060 3Gb (24MH/s @ 65W) + 6x MSI Armor GTX 1060 3Gb (24MH/s @ 70W) + 1x MSI GTX 1060 (24Mh/s @ 65W) + 3x Zotac GTX 1060 (24MH/s @ 65 W). PSU 2400W, Asrock ASRock H110 Pro BTC+, cheap Chinese risers, Kingston SSD 120Gb, 8Gb memory. Selling some of my GPUs (around 200€, still under warranty), if you're interested, contact me in private.

Hi everybody. Since I'm a total noob someone could explain to me how to configure this miner to start? I've got a 1070GTX
Sorry if this question has been made 1k times, I didn't find anything.

Thanks

Depends on what pool you are using to mine. There usually is a readme or listing on each pools site on how to set up the miner to start working with a batch file.  For instance, on flypool you just insert what is listed on their homepage into the flypool.bat file and ensure you place your ZEC wallet address in there and then you are good to go.

Scroll down on this page to see what the directions look like
https://zcash.flypool.org/

what you enter depends on your settings and the server you want to connect to.  Its pretty straightforward and you should be up and running in a just a few minutes when you decide where you want to run your miner.

TY for your comment, all GPUs working with 100% of load, but only one of them has that performance and load anomaly.
When the miner start working I see something like 60% GPU usage in Afterburner and 350 Sol/s for just one GPU, all other works fine for full 100% usage and 530-550 Sol/s.
The GPU usage and performance is keeping stable low until the miner is working. Restart of the miner gives another stable anomaly GPU usage like 75% or 80% or 95% with corresponding performance. I can only try to restart the miner to get that GPU usage anomaly close to 95% to have the performance of that GPU close to max. It's annoining me.
It's shouldn't be like that.

What brand of 1070 are you using and settings? I only get average 3.0-3.1 sol/W, 460-470 Sol/s and  temp 64-67c

I have KFA2 1070 EX and they do the same, but I prefer to run them at 120w with about 440sol and nearly 3.5sol/W

Does tdp mean top dead power?\\

..edit.. yup.. http://cryptomining-blog.com/tag/nvidia-tdp-limit-nvidia-power-limit/

power limit it is.  Smiley

"Total Design Power" to be picky, but the term has gotten a bit generic and is widely misapplied a bit in usage - and yes I'm guilty of that myself.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

I have the error too where one GPU drops way down to like 265 sol/s while the others are fine.  I have to wonder if it's due to a problem with the mining software itself

I have 2 ASUS and 2 EVGA Superclocked.... which put out a lot of heat.  I like the ASUS better.. they look cheaper and smaller but don't put out tons of heat.

... edit...  btw. I'm not sure by any means mine is optimum.  Maybe someone can post better settings?  I have played with the settings for weeks now, and its at a decent spot where it doesn't crash out on me.

I got a problem: when I want to finish mining and I close the cmd window with the red "X", my gpus crash, showing multiple vertical lines on the screen.
This happens only with this miner, both Zcash and ZENcash.
Do you know how to solve this problem?

I have the same problem but I think it only occirs when you access the screen of your mining rig. When I open teamviewer, the first GPU hashes only at half the speed because it reserves the other computing power for the screen I think, but it's not a problem that stays 24/7.

Hi,

I'm looking for a functionality, where the ewbf miner would disconnect, when the server kicks it out, after it has successfully connected initially.

Currently I'm seeing that the ewbf miner will try to re-connect endlessly, and thus will starve of tasks, even with eexit set to 3:

Code:
INFO: Detected new work: a4f2
INFO 07:23:12: GPU3 Accepted share 21ms [A:4, R:0]
ERROR: Lost connection with the server.
INFO: Attempt to restore connection.
ERROR: Stratum authorization error
Total speed: 0 Sol/s
Temp: GPU0: 42C GPU1: 38C GPU2: 39C GPU3: 37C GPU4: 39C GPU5: 38C
GPU0: 0 Sol/s GPU1: 0 Sol/s GPU2: 0 Sol/s GPU3: 0 Sol/s GPU4: 0 Sol/s GPU5: 0 Sol/s

the use case for this auto-switching on miningpoolhub.com - where the hub 'signals' a change in preferred mining algorithm by kicking out an already existing / connected miner, by rejecting the credentials on a live connection. currently, ewbf miner will not disconnect in such a case.

Been testing for a few days and I now have an average of 3.20 PEC from 3.0. Performance is the same around 450-470 Sol/s.  I guess having a higher PEC is more optimal if you're gonna factor in electricity cost on your earnings.  and I agree with you it should be stable.

Sometimes when you get high ping it decrease the sol/s..
