And strange bug with these 17.2.2 drivers. On all versions GGS from 1.1.8 to 1.1.12 after start mining and stopping after, 1st GPU (monitor connected) continue to show 100% activity. Core clock is maximum, memory clock at 300. Temperature is low, but a bit higher than at 300/300, fan drop to low or 0%. All functions work. Miners starting on it and works at 97-99% speed on this GPU. Computer hangs during rebooting. And not rebooting until power off and on.
Had the same bug, I found this was caused by not very heavy overclocking. Try pls lower your GPU Clock by 10+ and do so with your Mem clk as well. You can seek your sweet point, try and seek. Tryed at Neoscrypt only, the others algo nowadays aren't worth of talking with AMD cards.
As was said before by Zawawa, U will need to check and find, bcause THIS miner is completely different from others. This will be the answer to your coldboots and 100% loading of one of your cards when mining tread hungs.
I tried to increase GPU voltage, it's helps on neoscrypt for sometime. Thread hangs not so quick, but on cryptonight it didn't helps at all. I use lowered clocks for my 580 cards. I use 1245MHz GPU clock. Lowering it decreases speed - and this is not good for me.
I think it's drivers bugs, on 17.11.4 all was right.

Pls, Zawawa think 'bout the interface: you really need not to have Start/Stop button at every page.
Just for RX470/480 we may need this button at the first page, here:
https://s5.postimg.org/rijfmusd3/screenshot_3207.png
Bcause we never see the bottom of the miner, really, without any monitor at these rigs. Right now I have to click the first page, then press "Shift-Tab" and "Enter" to Start or Stop mining.

Increasing the voltage works well but it's not so good assuming ^2 power usage, so at home I can only lower MHz at GPU and mem. Ye, decreasing speed this way.

On cryptonight increasing voltage didn't work. I tried up to 1000mV with the same 1245Mhz vcore. On 17.11.4 card stable works with 1245MHz and 950mV. I stop it, becase I don't want to lose speed or inrease power consumption and temp.
I'll wait while zawawa take full control on 17.12.x drivers, or AMD release new version. If it didn't helps in future, I'll return to 17.11.4 driver.

hello
i see you have rx580 and you can get very high hash in cryptonight
i have rx570 but i get only 650 hash
how do you get that?
tyvm
sorry for my english

Hi sorry, for late answer.. i am busy nowadays... All my cards  are 8 GB ..And bioses are custom modded (I am modding them), but you can use , these bioses ,( they are also very good if you dont want edit manually ):

https://anorak.tech/c/downloads

Just register an account to download rom files.. (according to your card manufacturer (saphire, powercolor, msi etc)  and memory module brand (samsung/elpida/micron etc) download the correct bios for 4 GB !!

and after bios mod :

with Gateless gate device-->cyptonight-->  raw intensity : 512 - 640  (you have to test few values)  ,  work size : 4 ? (I have 8 here , but u have 4 gb model)  ,   gpu threads : 2

I hope it helps..

Performance for R9 280-280 stay pretty low:

Claymore 11.2 give 4500...
You must change to right raw intensity for this cards. Then they will give speed equal or even more than Claymore.

Any idea what is good raw intensity for:
Radeon R9 280 and 280X? And for R9 290?

Thanks

I think I need to automate optimizations as I definitely don't have money to buy all the cards out there. lol
I will get to it once I am done with the next version.

Try 512,640,768,832,896 for 280.
For 280X - 640,768,832,896,960.
For 290 - 768,832,896,960,1008. Threads 2, worksize 8, as default. Every changing of rawintensity restart GGS to changes completely affects.

After starting mining I recommend press Stop and Start again without settings changes. Results may be different on some cards.

And the last thing - try temporary rename folder "BinaryKernels" from GGS folder. This slowing down launching of mining, but on some cards it can give more speed.

And don't forget - for this amount of cards you must have pagefile size at least 75% of summary VRAM of all your cards.

First of all, kudos for your great project.
Your miner is already very competitive.

I for one would be more than happy to let a tool run for a couple of hours on each GPU just to determine the perfect setting for all algos usable with your miner.
And if this tool need to mine into your wallet, so be it.
Would guess it makes it easier to determine the real hashrates if you have full api access to the pool during the benchmarking, right?
It would not be necessary to make the results usable for other mining software e.g. Claymore's.
But it would be nice if we could reuse the results with new versions of GGS, at times you released ever 3 hours.
Would be hard to keep up with that if we had to re-run the tool every time.
Cheers

Btw:
All my cards(6) are MSI Radeon RX580 8GB Gaming X - bios modded, driver version 17.12.2

Currently I am mining SUMO at a rate of 1007/1008 h/s, all default on the devices tab.
Claymore's v11.2 does mine at 1012/1014 h/s with -dmem 1 -h is default at 1152

Ethash was ~28.5 mh/s with GGS and ~29.5 mh/s with Claymore's v10.2

Equihash was about 350 sol/s with Claymore's Zcash v.12.6
If you can can reach or beat this hashrate you will be running into open doors.
Claymore's is claiming 2% devfee (unsecure 2.5%).
He/s promised to lower the devfee but he/s know that there is no competition and is therefore very reluctant to decrease the devfee.

Should the overclocking/underclocking be available in version 1.1.13 alpha?
At my rig I cannot enable it.
Only "Enable physmem" can be activated.

reported great hash at neoscrypt. good work sir!
rx 580 at 810h
rx 570 at 650h

anyway sir. i found that this version makes 100percent fan rate. is this normal?
and other gpu display core clock same as main gpu.

ex: my rx 580 (main) at core 1300,my rx 570 at core 1105
but my rx 570 displayed core 1300 at GGS

Use latest 17.12.2 driver. On 17.11.x or early drivers GGS show sensors from 1st GPU on all GPUs.

Overclocking/underclocking isn't available in 1.1.13 or any other versions. It will be in future versions.

Guys help please.
When you run gatelessgate-0.1.3-pre6b-win64. Writes that the connection to the server with an error, etc.

"rawintensity": "896",   is  too high for rx 570..try 512 first-640..     I have 8 gb rx 580 and  over 700 intensity , I had problems .. and  if your  card is 4 gb , I think (but not sure) work size should be 4 , not 8.

and, your  sumo user name also seem to be not correct with space between + R570 ?
same is true with  space between port number and pool name ? "mine.sumo.fairpool.xyz: 5555"

your problem is format of config file not card settings , be careful spaces between characters , pool address is not recognised..

I am not using command prompt version  but Try  like  that :

Quote
gatelessgate.exe -k cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://mine.sumo.fairpool.xyz:5555 -u Sumoo5H59i819DcLT3DjZVToKneE2UE5xFSGCZkzwmdkdg1W8KPF4s8CmAiNzhmEKW9VLupxAvk56JZ Yp64wTKEgKufmGzsAeq9.f0fed8a8818360e4746044ee533f69ab223a37bc39baf01cc45109d891 74a9a4.0+R570 -p x --rawintensity 512 -w 4 -g 2

you have to put this to start.bat file without  any other thing..

And why you are running it from command prompt ?..there are good windows version ?
