Bribes and commissions form the lion's share of the revenue for the politicians. Their proper salary, which is sourced from the tax money is only a small fraction of their overall annual revenues.

It's not a theft on my personal opinion for which it returns regularly to every person. Government use our collected taxes to build and repair infrastructure that we need. Tax is also use to every project of the government. The collected tax is thrown to different fields, research, armory (army), donations (donated to disasters survivors), education, infrastructure (includes roads, bridges and repairs), and lending (public lending of money with little income). So to the Government must use it well maximize the collection of tax. It's like our money will be back by means of the government's services to us. One good example, our money will be back by means of government securing our safety.

Tax is the government's way to earn money to fund the project's that would improve the community. The problem is the government officials are using it for their own. They're stealing the people's money which is supposed to be used in government projects.

In the current situation.    Most of us are having a problem about taxes,  and it is also one of the biggest problems in the country.. Looking back from the past years,  we could say that the purpose of tax when it is used correctly is to develop a well organized country and economy, but as speaking also most people there in the position are making fun of that tax we paid. Yes, I agree with your opinion, the many benefits of such taxes as you have said, taxes are a source of funds for the government, where tax funds are used to build the country as well as build supporting infrastructure so that the country progresses and its economy grows.
Maybe tax can be categorized theft if the application of taxes on the community in wrong use by unscrupulous government, the tax is in corruption for personal gain.

Also, the VAT and the other indirect taxes are also extremely high in Germany. For example, a litre of gasoline in Germany costs twice as much  as that in Russia.

If someone says you must pay 10% of your income to rent something is that still theft? Tax is the rent u pay for society to function, there are alternatives if you don't want to pay it, just not in the country you are in.
