You probably won't lose all of your earnings by switching before a block is found, but you'll likely lose some if the time to find the next block takes a lot longer than average and the pool use the uses "PPLNS" scheme. I wrote a fairly long post about the potential downsides to PPLNS in another thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2898687.msg30133809#msg30133809 which hasn't been commented on so beware of any potential errors on my part.

don't spread missinformation, check 1st merit @ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=209640

Where is the misinformation in my reply? No where on the Zpool website does it state what payment scheme is used and other multi-algo, auto-switching pools do use PPLNS so it was reasonable for me to assume that Zpool did to. Nevertheless, I did write "if...the pool uses the 'PPLNS' payment scheme." which indicates I was not sure what payment scheme is used.

BTW - you could have been a bit more diplomatic - not to say courteous - by merely writing, "Zpool uses the proportional scheme, not PPLNS."

So i was right ? If my miner switch from bitcore to another algo that it thinks is more profitable before finding the block ( eg. mining 1  or 2 hours bitcore without finding it ) i mined that time for thin air ?

I better remove those algos then i guess Smiley

In my experience, if you mine for a certain amount of time, your work is counted until the next block is found, even if you've already moved on to another algo.  However, if you mined for a few minutes, and it took several hours to find a block, your % of work done is going to be much lower than those who were mining the entire time.

A quick update after the first 24 hours of running - NiceHash is currently ahead with 0.33331 mBTC earned vs. 0.29274 mBTC immature + earned at Zpool.
...

Now at the 48 hour mark Zpool is just 2% behind NiceHash, with 0.64844 mBTC earned (mature + immature) vs. 0.66167 mBTC for NiceHash*. As I explain more in the above quoted post, any difference in earnings of 5% or less should be considered a tie due to the limitations of my test setup.
...

At the 72 hour mark Zpool fell behind NiceHash again, with a net earnings of 0.90309 mBTC for Zpool vs. 1.01949 mBTC for NH. While that is an 11.% difference, I can't really say it is significant statistically because just yesterday Zpool was nearly tied with NH while the day before it was behind NH by 12.1%, so daily earnings fluctuate quite a bit.

What I can say for sure, though, is that the estimated profit data which NemosMiner is obtaining/using to select which algo to run is persistently overstated by anywhere from 1.5x to 3x the actual earnings so because of this, as well as a few other glaring deficiencies in these profit switching scripts, I think I will stick to using Zpool in single-algo mode.

The timer isn't for BTC payouts. BTC payouts I run at different times, manually.

You only pick what you get paid in; via the c=XXX flag and the username being the wallet of that type...

if your password is trying to get paid in DNR, and you are getting DGB;  have crackfoo fix it for you.... but it sounds like you are trying to pick what coin you mine;  which this is not how the pool works.

Yes, I already show my bat.
use address DNR with option C=DNR, mining DNR, but got paid in DGB so I think something wrong.
No problem in other pool.

https://23.imgtrue.com/DNRDGBe60793f44f09de45.png
i also, you kan see they wallet adress mismatch the coin, other pool all right, but they pool will use your hash ming they own coin

Same.  Seeing wrong stats for the miners.  Duplicate miners, missing miners.  1/2 the hash rate not reported.  Assuming its a DB problem so will check in a few hours.

I do think that if the pool is not managed correctly and if we see lower income compared to other better pools we will switch from this pool.

I have to hive as an example the lack of interest of HashRefinery mining pool that did not take care of ophaned blocks and went in a few days from 10k to 1k miners, now has 10 times less miners.

I do think that thousands of miners will no longer use this pool and go to other pools that are better managed and with lower fees. Also important is the amount you get after each day. If i get more with 2 identical rigs from a different pool, why should I use zpool, I will use the pool for my miners that has the highest return per day.

I advise you all test several pools and see what pool has the highest return and disable pools that pay less per day.

Enjoy mining on best maintained pools with highest payments ...

We've disabled @StocksExchangeR again as deposits are severely delayed. Affected coins are $PHILS $ALQO $XSH $DSR $BLAS $SPK $RAP $RACE $BHD $EAG $PBS $TIN $ARTX $BWK $EXUS and a few more. This will be 0 value until re-enabled, so please switch to getting paid in something else.

no;  since you are a ratio;  its only the downtime that will effect you... you should be ok.

I do suggest letting it run for the maximum amount of time;  record what the difficulty gets to each time;  average those numbers, and use that as a manual difficulty in your password string.  This way difficulty doesn't need time to adjust every time and keeps you optimal.   Just average ~5 different restarts.
Example password:
c=BTC,nist5,d=4

Neoscrypt statistics are 100 times higher and are all reporting received hashes, but income is 0.

http://www.zpool.ca/stats

I disabled zpool.ca from all my 1273 RIGs to avoid future loses and I advise you all disable zpool until they will fix the issues and until they will monitor the pool and avoid high loses we all have.
