If you think that superstition will help you in gambling I suggest you stop immediately and don't gamble at all. These so called premonitions have made people lose millions of dollars in casinos. I have seen in person in a casino where a couple of middle age 40-50 years were saying this will be our lucky spin and they kept losing until they lose all of their money. The sum were about 17.500 dollars if I remember correctly. Superstition is only a way to lie to yourself and cannot help anyone in gambling.

Believing superstitions is good but to an extent, I mean if you just gamble all your money because some "pundits" ask you to.

You should use your own brain and intelligence to determine whether it's worth to bet on that.
I have seen a lot of pundits in my county who even have an accurancy of 90% in sports betting, but actually they themselves are not in profits overall so how they can help you ?

Exactly, I think superstition in itself is a personal tickling of ones self and taking consolations from hope of a yet to happen event to go in their favor. Gambling doesn't work this way people! You need your cool head and common sense to make accurate decisions concerning your finances not what you feel.

I think you are wrong to give an opinion about it, but everyone is different with the thinking and talking. It looks like the work was very important in our daily lives to gain knowledge and experience to the community, but to play the game it was just a moment and entertain ourselves when we get bored doing the job or when we were relaxing.

I've noticed that when I gamble on Saturdays I always lose so I avoid gambling on Saturdays. Is that a superstition?

Maybe most of them are just hiding it. I am superstitious also. I think i got it from my parents and other relatives when we play card games with bets.
There is this one thing I remebered what my Uncle said to me. "Never keep in your pocket the money that you are winning if the game is not yet over." He means just let it be in the table until the game ends.
It is actually hilarious but I keep doing it until now.  

Superstition also is based pn the hypothesi.  In short you are just on a prediction matter of whether your bet will win or will lost in the game.  It can hard as want you think to win in the game because it has so many scenario of whats going on.

Correct that there are many scenarios in the game and there are instances that you know you got a good hand but yet the other player still have the best one.
This kind of things that happens makes you think "Am I really unlucky this day" so you will come up with another strategy or try to be superstitious. Some do change where they sit or others have their own way of rotating things.

Superstion is not hope nor to tickle one self.  It is a belief created when something unexplanable happen when doing one thing.  It is relative of luck.  In a sense they do not exist.  Anything happen win or lose is triggered by chance or probability.  It is not luck that gives you win.  It is the chance that you have predicted the outcome correctly.

Not a superstition but a well known fact!
Don't make budgets of how you will spend money you have not yet won, if you do this clouds your concentration and winning chances.
And you end up losing everything you started with

I am not finding any difference between you and rest of gamblers who are following superstitions as I feel you are just gambling with the belief of random possibilities whereas other people are believing some kind of worship will bring them same luck. In common, we just need to make sure we will have some luck while gambling, different people are following different things.

There is nothing anyone can do to win but it doesn't hurt to try and if you have a special lucky coin or necklace I say wear it !! As long as it makes you feel good. just because you have not good experience believing on imaginary thing doesn't mean your life become difficult as you said , give me an example on how can your life turn difficult when believe on supertition? that is what i am asking.

1. I choose the number of parking slot that I will park. Usually it should have my favorite number 111,777 etc.
2. I don't want to wait for someone if he or she is going to go with in the casino.

Well it won't hurt to make yourself believe that doing things before you play a game of luck can better your chances of winning. I don't really get what you are saying but the thing that you said that gambling is a pure luck, think again. There are instances that gambling may be a pure luck, but there are still instances that gambling is based on how you did it, in other words, your skill. And superstition is only based on their culture beliefs and stuffs which have no scientific explanation, you have a point on what you have said there.

The point of superstitious beliefs is to make their gambling activities really comfortable to them, and they also believe that in this ways, they are actually winning.

It wont really hurt you if you do follow those beliefs that you had but it does give you effect if your expectations wont really happen anytime you play even you do follow on what you believed.You would tell surely to yourself that its just a useless thing to believe those because on gambling anything is random and cant be affected by anything.

Are you ready to say that gambling is not depending on your luck factor ? When you are ready to believe luck is the influencing factor for deciding the results in gambling, why not you find your luck through following some suppositions.

Lol this is out of context here.  And definitely I agree with you.  Do not count the chicks if the egg has not hatch yet.  Worsed is if the hen does not lay eggs yet.  Most of us have this kind of attitude.

It's not that bad if gamblers are going to believe in superstition and there's nothing to lose if they will not believe on it.
