Can i rent a scrypt miner from https://www.miningrigrentals.com/rigs/scrypt and point it to mine FTC? Will these miners work?

Yes youll have to do the config tho, its not easy!
What are you talking about, no he can't use scrypt miners, FTC has been NeoScrypt for quite some time now, it's a totally different algo that no Scypt ASIC can do.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Yeah, those are fine, but he was asking about regular scrypt rigs.

Pls spare me of your guru opinion. This is something which should NOT take place. I use bunch of other wallets and only feathercoin one is a malware positive.

I know it is not malware. What am I saying is that FTC devs should settle this issue with Avast. Once more, no other wallet reports this, it simply makes people insecure.

Is FeatherCoin still alive? Website hasn't been updated in months, the FeatherCoin markets gone, many dead links to FeatherCoin resoures and websites

Dunno what youre talking about! Everything is smooth!

Just some things not going so smoothly include:

- Last 'weekly newsletter' -  MAY 24, 2014

- Last news update on website - 27 APR, 2014 - Although you moved to NeoScrypt in October?

- Netstats on site showing: Total Coins Mined [ · {{l.name}} ]   [ verify message · broadcast transaction ] - Error

- No charts appear on Charts page: https://www.feathercoin.com/charts/

- Some people on the Merchants list no longer support it

I think somebody find a way to design an ASIC, otherwise, is it even possible to have that much of GPU.

You can get up to 400-500kh on neoscrypt if you have a R9 290X, two of those its 1mhash, so if there is 32 mhash, how many gpus do you think he has?  Grin

do you know stratum proxy miner?
if you wish, you can gather thousands of GPU miners to build a extremely high speed single miner.
using proxy miner, will reduce total rejected, reduce network bandwidth requirement.
easy switch between coins, also easier for monitor hundreds of GPU's.

Never buy any ICO altcoin.
Never buy any ASIC altcoin.
