I looks like capital flight from China.  When a government tries to stop it, the result is an acceleration.  The tighter the fist, the more escapes from their grip.

Note however that I believe this website uses data reported by the exchanges.  So what you see there is being reported by the Chinese exchanges.

There is a high chance BTC will be priced 7000 USD by the end of this year. When the rise starts, it will be tremendous based on previous rises.

I want to buy ! But when?  NOW ? Because when I read your post since few hours, It seem that some of you think it could going down...around 7 am ( european time...I will sleep ;-) )

Yawn. Bit is an option to a brave new world. Some of its characteristics:

- Assuming 10 billion people, everybody has a quota of 2,000.
- No inflation
- No storage cost
- No confiscation
- Does not expire
- Your quota costs $1, or a little less. Previously it was $2, some time last year $0.05.
- If you want to be shrewd, buy the quota of others because they scorn it, and sell it to them when the price is right.

It's just totally ridiculous. I expected a drop before we moved on from 500 but this is just people trying to destroy Bitcoin.

sad part is that there is nothing much you can do about it..!

That's not true at all.  Many felonies have been committed.  If adequate logs were collected, many crimes could be prosecuted, and the criminal actors would meet justice.  The only reason this hasn't already happened is because the governments hate the people.  Why would they defend property rights of mere citizens?  Citizens are for rape and plunder.

*sigh* nobody knows when the best time to buy is, and anyone who tells you otherwise is deluded or a liar - if we did, we would all be millionaires by now

If you are unsure, split up your buys to hedge some of the risk.. there's no need to buy a whole coin at once! Just remember not to put in any more money than you can afford to lose.

Lax, go on charts like bitcoinwisdom, coinmarketcap, coindesk google news (search bitcoin)
and decide if you want to invest.  You can read comments here (and I suggest you take senior members posts more seriously)  (a few months ago, I asked if 800 was a good buy in and a senior type member kept telling me no.  so I guess just read comments and form your own conclusion.)

If you're only looking to accumulate, buy 450$ worth of BTC in max 3 weeks from now, and the rest (500$) max 3 weeks after that. Once you buy, do not sell for any reason (say, below 1000-2000 [EDIT: or use rpietila's SSS]). Then plan again. Be prepared psychologically to see the BTC price go to 100$ and not sell. Many if not most on this thread attempt to trade up and down but study for at least 6 months before you attempt to do so with more than play money (maybe, 5% of your stash?). If you want to start trading, read read and read some more, backtest any strategy you form and don't attempt to "be first" on movements unless you are an insider.

Other than that, the regular advice about advice from strangers on the internet.

Im sure there will be something more official but just IRC atm, apparently Okcoin were creditors as well so have a vested interest, appartenly the Sunlot people were trying to make a deal with Mark to buy the company before it all broke but it sounds like a very shady deal from the Mark and Sunlot perspective.

OKCoin certainly makes sense with the China ban situation.

We were taking about rally, launch etc. and instead of this we have to look at this drop ...

 Just sell your coin immediately for $455-467, as high as you can but without risking/waiting too long. Once price inevitably falls to 410's-420's or even further, down to low 300's (China has just admitted they completely refuse to tolerate -ANY- bank/payment processor loopholes to fund to & withdraw from chinese exchanges - game over) ; & Use your $950++ to buy at that price, down there.

 Ignore any 'moon' ($600-$7000) rocket-launch hysterics you see around here, even when the price appears to rise fast at times - it's a trap - The launch is only gonna happen -AFTER- China is completely moved offshore, Huobi, OKCoin, BTC38, BTCChina, etc, ALL shut down completely or moved off Chinese mainland.

You will never see bitcoin prices much lower than this again. It might go slightly lower and may even retest the last low at around 350.00 but this is buy zone if you haven't already. You can quote me on this and thank me later when we are at 10,000 plus in a few short months. China is only an excuse and mars can easily be reached without her.  Don't believe the hype.

7000 is not an optimistic estimate.  Get a clue.  If you have new analysis, present it.  Until then, you're just another ignorant newbie.
