I don't think it's likely, but if this has enough inertia to propel us beyond $320, there's more to come...

I agree. I'm trying to figure where we'll meet resistance areas... the last trading range from $300-$400 was low volume in comparison, and I imagine most who wanted to get out (capitulate) have already, hence the reason why we are at $280 today. If we pass $315, watch out. That would move us definitively out of this trading range ($200-$300) and into a strong bull move, partially propelled by the 20k who are still short. There will be no mercy for even well-capitalized shorts at those price levels as the hope to return sub $200 will fade into the distance.

Fuck me!  More organic growth!!

Wanna make up Lambie?  Kiss

Periods of organic growth are just harbingers of equally organic collapse, which is already in progress Cool

Is there any confirmation to auction being 30% above market?  Who started the rumor?  Don't tell me it was AdamstgBit.

Why would anyone bid that high above market?  You could buy 50k across several exchanges without driving it up 30%.

I doubt it. There are lots of trades, with traders over time staying at about the same holding level, but for real changes in demand like this, the market is thin as a hair.

It's ironic that it's cheaper to buy on stamp now nobody's using it anymore. There was a big time delay between the pump on finex and the one on stamp.

Someone is putting up ask walls to protect their shorts on finex.... Must be doing something right.

This almost never works out for them. Fighting the market is the fastest way to go broke. Shorts pushed the price down so low, now they are surprised when it springs back in their face.

I thought Draper might have something to do with this pump, then I read on bloomberg that he didn't even participate.

Draper said he didn’t participate in the bidding.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-03-05/secondmarket-among-bidders-in-third-silk-road-bitcoin-auction

It's strange he didn't bid considering he was a bidder in the last two auctions.

It does - but in the last couple of days big moves have died off reasonably quickly at this time - end of trading hours in NYC and Europe is just for private traders now.

We won't see it smashed down tonight I reckon.  A little profit taking at most.

Major dumping would need balls of steel after a green hourly candle like that.

Would tend to agree, but we've been floating back quite effortlessly after each pullback. If we can hit $290, $300 would fall very quickly IMO.

Incidentally, whats this about a 30% above market bid rumour? can't find anything about it.

This is not the rumors, just a good move by bulls. Everyone's wanting to retest this area and kill some bears.

the reuters article said he participated in the auction but it was posted 4 hours before.
