Will Fed hike the rate today? (I don't think so).

And will the outcome be relevant to bitcoin price? How?

Doubt it to much global insecurity right now

As for the impact to the Bitcoin price since I expect no change in the interest rate it should end up as a neutral outcome.

No interest rate hike which means nothing for btc.

If interest rate increases it affects the stock market immediately as higher returns are now possible from other investments.

1) When it happens there wouldn't be much of a rate hike to begin with.

2) The psychological impact of it after historical lows for many years will be unsettling.

3) Are the type of people who would move their money due to small changes in the interest rate really going to move to btc Huh Tongue

Because 'Bitcoin technology' is code for 'private blockchain'.

They may as well just use a database or filing cabinet.
If they control this "blockchain" then it can be easily modified by them. No point, except they get to use a buzzword "blockchain".

Yes, the fed IS raising the federal interest rate today.
I was told by a higher-up from one of the big 4 yesterday evening.

People who bought at 200 and below are the winners again. We've already seen the bottom like how we did in January. That's my view on the market.

BitPay reported that they processed payments worth 158 million USD in the whole of 2014.  Guessing that they make 2% on each payment, from fees and/or exchange spread, that is less than 10'000 USD/day.

So that 'social engineering' attack may have cost them 6 months worth of their revenue (not just of their profit) in 2014.

The last meeting July 28-29 had no effect on the price.
